A COMPARISON OF TWO RACKING SOLUTIONS FOR SERVICE ENGINEERS
Two Citroen Berlingos with Syncro Ultra racking, one for a heating engineer and the other for a fuel dispenser technician
This page presents two different racking systems for the compact Citroen Berlingo. The first photo gallery illustrates a Berlingo with Syncro System racking for a fuel dispenser service technician. The second illustrates a racking system for a heating engineer.
The Berlingo racking system for servicing fuel dispensers
The company that commissioned the racking system for this van specialises in servicing fuel dispensing systems. The Berlingo has racking on only the left side, leaving the right and the bulkhead completely free. This means plenty of floor space for loading material into the back of the van or through the side door. Other racking elements or accessories from the Syncro Ultra range can, of course, be added at any time.
Liners Only the floor of this Berlingo is protected, by a plywood floor liner with a marble-look surface. But remember that Syncro System can also supply and fit liners for the walls, doors, bulkhead, roof and wheel arches. You can see other liners here.
Left side The racking on this side of the van is quite simple and consists of a floor-level case compartment with straps, four drawers and two shelves.
The Berlingo racking system for a heating engineer
Here’s another Citroen Berlingo, but with a completely different racking solution. Racking has been installed on both sides of this van, along with a cargo retention system on the bulkhead. The owner of this van works as a heating engineer..
Liners The bodywork of this Berlingo is protected by:
For other kinds of interior liners for the Berlingo, look here.
Left side The racking on this side of the van consists of:
a floor-level compartment with a lift-and-rotate door over the wheel arch, a solution that creates a useful storage space for all kinds of materials and even bulky items
six drawers with automatic retaining mechanisms, each fitted with a non-slip mat and metal space dividers
two configurable shelves, also with mats and space dividers
Right side In addition to a similar floor-level compartment with a door, and three shelves, this racking configuration also contains an accessory that is extremely useful for all service technicians.
We are talking about a pull-out vice bench that takes up very little space when not in use, as it slides neatly into the racking. The bench is opened simply by loosening two locking knobs and pulling it out. The extended bench is extremely strong and provides stable support for all kinds of repairs and modifications to spare parts.
Bulkhead To enable this heating engineer’s Berlingo to carry equipment and materials that are too big to fit in shelves, drawers or even floor-level compartments, the bulkhead has been equipped with a bar and adjustable strap with sliding attachments.
