This customer who ordered this racking system is an electrician who works mainly on the repair and maintenance of electrical system, TV systems, antennas and lightning conductors. He uses his Ford Custom to get to and work at his customers’ premises. The Custom is a medium-size van that can be fitted out in many different ways: by lining the floor and walls alone, installing racking on one, two or three walls, adding accessories and, if required, even a roof rack. Thanks to Syncro’s new Ultra system, every solution can be totally unique and 100% customised to meet the customer’s needs.

The decision was made to protect only the floor of this vehicle, using a tough, non-slip resin-coated plywood floor liner. The original panelling was left in place on the van’s walls and doors.
The left side wall is completely free, with no racking or accessories. This means that even though racking fills the right side wall and the bulkhead, there is still plenty of space in the van for working on site without having to return to base, and for carrying large, bulky spare parts and equipment.
The racking on the right side wall provides storage for items like tools, spares, sundries and consumables. In particular we have:
The racking on the bulkhead consists of a strap-type case transport system at floor level, one small drawer, a number of case trays and shelves of pull-out plastic containers. This racking unit too is complete by a top shelf.
All available space has therefore been exploited in the best possible way. And accessories can always be installed on the sides of the racking in future. Thanks to the amazing versatility of the Syncro Ultra system and the equidistant holes in all side panels, customers themselves can install items like cargo retaining or cleaning accessories and move them around whenever they need.
And that’s not all, because even the roof has been exploited on this Custom and fitted with a roof rack with rear loading roller and side fences. The front cross-bar has an Ultrasilent profile underneath to minimise noise and vibration when the van is moving.
