In 2001, Renault launched its new and innovative van – the Trafic. Its combination of sleek design and large cargo capacity made it an instant success. In 2014, Renault introduced the updated version of the Trafic, keeping the positive characteristics that had worked so well. Therefore, the new Trafic is still a great looking and practical van with considerable loading capacity for its relatively compact size.
On this page you can see an example of the Renault Trafic L1 H1 with interior paneling and racking components on the left-hand side.
As with every conversion, we began with the base – in this case, our resin-coated marine plywood floor panel. It protects the original van floor from daily wear and tear, and also creates a solid base to which the racking units can be securely mounted.
The walls have also been protected thanks to Syncro paneling, all laser pre-cut and pre-drilled. The panels are available in pre-polished steel, aluminum or alveolar plastic. This client chose a combination: pre-polished galvanized steel paneling on the doors and right-hand side, and alveolar plastic paneling on the left-hand side where it is covered by the racking units. The plastic paneling is extremely lightweight, yet has a lower impact resistance.
The racking units on this Trafic occupy only the left-hand side of the cargo area, leaving the right-hand side free for convenient loading of materials and equipment.
At the base of the racking unit, we find two storage compartments. One coincides with the wheel arch and has a front door panel, equipped with the exclusive Syncro sliding hinge system.
The other compartment has been left open and includes a strap and clasp system for easy storage and transport of cargo.
Moving upwards, we mounted four shelves, all complete with non-slip rubber mats and metal dividers that can be inserted as needed.
For convenient storage of all kinds of small parts and fittings, this client chose two metal drawer units with plastic drawers, all complete with automatic locking systems and metal dividers. There are a total of 32 drawers and each one can be divided into three separate compartments….therefore, one can easily store and transport 96 different types of small parts and fittings!
At the very top of the racking unit, we mounted the extra-long storage shelf with locking end panel, perfect for storing long items like rods, tubes and pipes.
From the many Syncro accessories for tying down and blocking cargo, this client chose the long-object container kit that consists of a pocket divided in three parts with track and strap mounted just above it. The strap, which slides along the track, quickly and easily adapts to different sized cargo.
