On this page, we see an example of a Fiat Fiorino with plastic drawers and shelving – converted by the Syncro team for a company that provides service and maintenance to industrial lifts and elevators.
Let’s take it step by step, starting from the bottom…first we installed a 12 mm resin-coated birch
plywood floor panel. Its phenolic glues are extremely water resistant. The panel is CNC cut to perfectly fit the Fiorino loading bay, and its job is three-fold: prevent damage to the original floor, create a perfectly flat loading surface, and provide a solid base to which it is possible to mount the racking components.
Note that the floor panel is complete with protective non-slip steel borders and embedded anchorage cups that remain flush with the floor’s surface.
The right-hand side racking solution consists of a partially
closed wheel arch base, equipped with the patented rotational hinge system, allowing ‘wide-open’ access for easy loading and unloading of items.
Above the wheel arch frame, Syncro technicians mounted two
metal drawer units with thirty plastic drawers, each with automatic locking mechanisms, and aluminum dividers.
At the very top of the units, we placed a metal structure holding
six plastic removable and portable bins.
On the right-hand side, there is a basic shelf with two sturdy
steel shelves, both complete with rubber mats and dividers. The lower compartment is equipped with a
strap for securing cargo; the top part consists of the Syncro long object storage shelf for safely transporting elongated objects such as pipes, tubes, rods, etc.
