Nissan NV300: transforming a medium size van into a mobile workshop
Most Syncro System customers drive medium size vans and see them as the best choice for work in construction finishing, installation and the servicing and repair of vehicles, machines and systems. One popular medium-size vehicle is the Nissan NV300, which offers a practically shaped cargo compartment and great versatility.
On this page, you can see two different Syncro System racking solutions in Nissan NV300 vans, the first with racking confined to just one side wall, the second with racking on both sides. In either case, the bulkhead has been fitted with a cargo retaining system comprising a bar with adjustable straps and sliding attachments to secure materials of different shape and size.
Liners, the essential first step in fitting out the NV300
Both customers chose to protect the interior of their Nissan NV300 vans with the simplest lining solution available from the Syncro System catalogue: a floor liner. They both chose a plywood liner with a marble-look surface, cut to shape for the Nissan NV300 and pre-drilled to accommodate the original floor anchors. Liners like this serve multiple purposes:
* They form a perfectly flat, even floor over the ribbed original.
* They protect the original floor against wear and damage.
* They make it easier to clean the interior and keep everything tidy.
A racking system on one side of the NV300
This first racking system was designed for a boiler technician who uses his Nissan NV300 to install and service boilers at his customers’ homes. The racking is confined to the left side wall and consists of:
- a floor-level compartment with a door that opens upwards on a parallelogram mechanism, supported by gas springs and a synchronisation tube
- a shuttle-type case transport system, also at floor level
- four metal drawers
- five configurable shelves, including two at the top, all complete with non-slip mats
- pull-out transparent containers, eight small and four large, arranged in two rows
A complete racking system in a Nissan NV300
The van in this second photo gallery is an L1 H1 model. This is the smallest in the NV300 range but still large enough to accommodate racking on both sides. The racking on the left starts with two floor-level compartments. The one over the wheel arch is partly enclosed by a door that folds down to provide unrestricted access. The other compartment has been left open. Over these are two columns of 3+3 shelves and a full-length top tray for carrying long items. On the right we have another floor-level compartment partly enclosed by a lift-and-rotate door, a shelf with a lift-up door and another two open shelves exploiting the full height of the van.
Don’t forget the roof!
