A complete racking system in a Sprinter L3 H2 for an industrial equipment service
The Mercedes Sprinter illustrated in this photo gallery is a 2018 model year L3 H2 model. It was brought to Syncro System by a company that installs and services generator sets, pumps and other industrial equipment.
The customer’s requests focused on the racking, which had to satisfy the following needs:
- transport of a good supply of tools and spares to the work site
- the ability and autonomy needed to undertake repairs, modifications and servicing

Liners for the Mercedes Sprinter… a special request!
A quick glance at this Sprinter L3 H2 will show that the original Mercedes panelling has been complemented by additional Syncro System liners. In response to a specific request from the vehicle’s owner, Syncro’s technicians left in place the original wood panels fitted to the walls and doors when the van was delivered by the Mercedes dealership, adding only a floor liner.
The floor liner was pre-shaped and pre-drilled specifically for this model of van at Syncro System’s works in the province of Vicenza, Italy, It consists of panels of plywood with a marble-look surface, complete with steel cups for the original anchor rings and steel profiles on all exposed edges.
These characteristics, along with the unique laying technique adopted by Syncro, ensure unrivalled strength. Syncro floor liners are designed and made to withstand daily wear and tear, the movement of heavy weights and the potentially damaging action of liquid spillages.

The Sprinter’s storage wall
The racking on the left of this industrial equipment service’s Sprinter L3 H2 is configured as the van’s storage area and includes:
- Three floor-level compartments, with two open at the sides and one in the middle that is partly enclosed by a patented lift-and-rotate door that folds down to provide unrestricted access.
- Four case trays with metal cases. The retaining mechanism on these trays is patented and features a central release button and two lateral latches. This simple but effective system holds the trays securely closed even after prolonged use and in even the event of a serious collision.
- Four metal drawers with non-slip mats and internal dividers.
- Seven configurable shelves, also with non-slip mats and space dividers.
- A fold-away vice bench that can be used from outside the van, complete with a telescopic support and a metal vice. This bench opens in just a few seconds thanks to a lever at the side and is extremely stable when in work position.
The convenience of working from your van, thanks to Syncro
On the right of the Sprinter, Syncro has constructed a bench with a marble-look plywood work top, supported by a structure that incorporates a large floor-level compartment and two metal drawers. This bench, along with the vice bench on the left, forms the van’s work area and allows operators to undertake maintenance work, modifications and repairs in complete autonomy without having to return equipment back to base. Alongside the work area on the same wall is a column formed by a partly enclosed floor-level compartment and four configurable shelves.
