The vast gamut of Syncro products was recently expanded with the introduction of the Kit Van Plus: a series of racking components that are lightweight, durable, customizable and compatible with all other Syncro components.
On this page, we see an example of a Citroen Berlingo upfit with various components, including the Kit Van Plus.
One thing at a time: every good upfit starts with a solid floor. In this case, we mounted a
resin-coated, plywood, cut-to-size floor, and complete with steel borders and recessed steel anchorage points for tying down cargo.
Made of pre-coated 12 mm plywood, it is both lightweight and durable. With its anti-slip/anti-scratch surface, it makes a safe and sturdy base for the rest of the upfit.
The left-hand side essentially consists of the Kit Van Plus (35 cm deep, 125 cm long); wheel arch frame, a drawer unit with three trays for utility cases, three drawers (100 mm) and a shelf mounted over the drawers.
On top of the Kit, we mounted a second shelf with dividers and rubber mat, while the wheel arch frame was completed with a sliding arm system for quick securing of portable tool and utility cases.
Beside the Kit, we mounted two drawer units with forward-tilting transparent plastic drawers. A great solution for storing small parts and fittings so that they are visible and always just in reach.
All Syncro drawers are equipped with an automatic locking system, making for safe and easy transport.
The three portable cases are lightweight and durable: the innovative Galaxy design includes a transparent lid, making it easy to bring everything you need to your work site and see what is inside without even opening it!
The upfit on the right side has been done completely with transparent plastic drawers. At the floor level, we find three drawer units with nine forward-tilting drawers complete with dividers.
Above these, we mounted a drawer unit with 12 pull-out plastic drawers, and still above that, another drawer unit with six more forward-tilting drawers.
Next to the right-hand side Kit, we fastened the client's round container.
For this upfit, the client requested protective panels to also be mounted to the top part of the back doors. We used pre-coated steel paneling, to which were then mounted two hanging cable holders.
The top part of the bulkhead was covered with pre-cut plastic panels.
Last but certainly not least, we lit the van cargo with a bright 15 Watt LED light. It takes up almost no extra space, is energy efficient, and comes with convenient touch switch.
