“Think about the liners” is the first piece of advice that Syncro racking technicians offer when it comes to transforming your van, because original bodywork is made from thin sheet metal that can easily be scratched and dented.

And damaged bodywork is a magnet for rust, which means big trouble, both in economic terms and in working time lost while your van sits in the body repair shop!

So always line your van! In this VW Crafter, the floor liner is made of marble-look plywood with stainless steel anchor ring cups and edge profiles to prevent infiltration by dirt and damp. The walls and doors are protected by galvanised and painted steel panels.

Other lining solutions for the Crafter

The racking on the left of this Crafter serves two purposes: it provides a compact but functional workspace along with plenty of storage for the plumber’s tools and spare parts.

Starting at the bottom we have:

• one open floor-level compartment with a hook and strap lashing system and another partly enclosed by a metal profile at the bottom
• four metal drawers with non-slip mats and internal space dividers
• no fewer than 9 shelves equipped in the same way as the drawers and with the addition of raised rear panels to prevent items falling down behind the racking
• a full length top tray with an asymmetric access door at the rear
