The
Daily, from the Italian auto manufacturer
Iveco, is a large panel van with its characteristic back traction and unique monocoque frame that renders it particularly adapted for transporting heavy loads.
The new 2014 Daily model has kept its time-tested features, while still improving on and fine tuning the aspects that have given it its well-earned reputation as a hard working van.
The panel van version has a particularly large cargo area and is ideal for the installation of Syncro System racking components, which can easily transform the Daily into an efficient mobile workshop – ideal for maintenance work, assistance and construction sites.
On this page we see a
racking solution on the 2014 Iveco Daily L3 H2 with floor panel and shelving on both sides. The first step in conversions is reinforcing the original van cargo surfaces to protect them from the daily wear and tear that working vans endure. For this Daily, the Syncro experts installed a 12 mm resin-coated
plywood floor panel, complete with non-slip steel borders (coinciding with the van doors) and recessed steel anchorage points for tying down cargo with straps or elastic cords. The lightweight and workman tough floor panel protects the van floor from warping and denting while at the same time creating a solid, completely flat surface for mounting the racking components.
The left-hand solution consists of a series of
compartments, some open and some closed with door panels. As you can see, starting from the back, there is a small open storage compartment on the floor. Just over it, another compartment with front door panel, another that creates convenient storage space around the wheel well, and yet another for storing and transporting cases. The door panels are equipped with the Syncro patented rotational hinge system that allows wide-open access to compartments and is devoid of protruding parts when closed. The two compartments visible near the bulkhead have two different systems for storing cases of all sizes. Beneath is the
safe case solution with sliding shuttle and over it -- you can see the safe case strap and clasp system. Above them, we mounted a
drawer unit with eight metal drawers – complete with rubber mats, internal aluminum dividers and individual self-locking mechanisms. Moving upwards still, there are five shelves, four of which are equipped with gas spring opening mechanisms. All shelves come with rubber mats and aluminum dividers. Still higher, we see two bin shelves with 18 removable transportable plastic bins that slide into the specifically designed bin shelf. At the very top, there are two shelves (higher in the back to fit the shape of the van) - which also come with dividers and mats.
In the wide range of Syncro products, you'll find the extremely practical
metal drawer units with clear plastic drawers. Because of their transparency, it is easy and fast to locate exactly what you need without opening them. The drawers are made to last with durable plastic, resistant to UV rays and chemical products. And without protruding parts that can break off or be damaged. They also come with the valued individual automatic locking mechanisms.
On the right-hand side of this Daily, you can see a combination of different sized plastic drawers (forward-tilting on the top and pull-out on the bottom) mounted on two closed storage compartments equipped with the rotational hinge system. The solution offers an immense amount of storage for all types of tools, materials, small parts, and fittings.
Last but not least, the Syncro team mounted the
FERMATUTTO van clamp system which consists of two adjustable clamps that then slide along a track – making securing all types of cargo fast and easy.
