Unlike other large vans, the Iveco Daily features a load-bearing chassis. This makes it ideal for carrying heavy loads and for the installation of Luton bodies, tipper bodies and other conversions.
The panel van body is therefore not structural but simply bolted on to the chassis. The Daily is also one of the few light commercials still available only with rear wheel drive. These important characteristics make the Daily extremely strong but mean that the threshold of the cargo compartment is about 10 cm higher than those of its competitors. Carrying capacity is slightly reduced too.
The Daily panel van is available in four lengths and three heights. The cargo compartment of all versions is generous in size and square in shape, meaning that the Daily makes an excellent choice for technical assistance, maintenance and construction companies.

The first stage of this project consisted of installing a floor liner
in 12 mm thick, marble-look plywood, protecting the bulkhead with the same material, and lining the doors and walls
with painted steel panels.
The racking on the left of the van features three floor-level compartments, various configurable shelves

with its own LED light and electrical power sockets, a pull-out vice bench

The racking on the right of the van starts with two floor-level compartments, both with lift-and-rotate doors
(a Syncro patent), a total of fourteen steel drawers, a case tray with a professional case in ABS and aluminium, another work bench and a sink with its own cabinet. Above this racking are cabinets of tilting transparent containers
– a great way to carry small parts as you can see immediately what’s inside. Above the workbench but under the cabinets is another LED light.
This workshop is completed by useful roof accessories: an extractor fan, an aircon unit and four powerful LED ceiling lights
The van also has a handwash kit
consisting of a plastic water can, a soap dispenser and a paper roll holder, a first aid case and, on the bulkhead, two bars with cargo lashing straps and sliding fittings.
Having protected the bodywork and roof of this Daily with honeycomb plastic liners and reinforced the floor with a marble-look, birch plywood liner, the Syncro team went on to install racking on all three usable sides of the cargo compartment, making full use of all the space available. The complete racking system includes seven floor-level compartments, all with bottom profiles at the front, thirty shelves with metal space dividers and one shelf with a gas-spring door. The system also includes transparent containers, of the tilting type on the left and of the pull-out type on the right, a particularly practical storage solution as contents can be identified instantly and the containers themselves can be removed easily for access and refilling.
Four sections of milled aluminium rail
have been fixed to the front of the racking to allow cargo to be lashed in place with hooks or straps. The whole interior of the van is extremely well lit thanks to four compact LED ceiling lights.
