If you work away from your base, you need a robust bench with a vice to make repairs, adjustments and modifications to the parts and spares you use to install and service equipment.
Syncro can fit various types of steel vice:
- 125 mm vice in forged steel, complete with pipe jaws and a rotating base with quick-lock handles
- 110 mm vice in welded steel, complete with pipe jaws and a rotating base with quick-lock handles
- pipe vice (for diameters up to 2 or 3 inches)
Magnetic jaw protectors with fibre contact faces are available as accessories for 125 mm vices.
The protectors grip work pieces effectively while protecting them against scratching.
Vices can be fitted to
pull-out or fold-away vice benches.
Fold-away vice benches have a single-piece frame that fixes to the side of the racking and an easily accessible handle.
To extend the vice bench, simply pull the handle towards you and fold the bench outwards and downwards. The bench descends safely and smoothly thanks to gas springs and automatically locks in place at the end of its travel. To fold the bench away again, just pull the handle towards you and push the bench upwards and inwards. The bench again locks in place automatically at the end of its travel.
The surface that supports the vice is covered with a panel of aluminium tread plate. Fold-away vice benches are available in two versions:
- a larger version with a built-in extendable ground support
- a smaller version without a support
Because of their design,
fold-away vice benches need to be fixed to the side of a racking column near the van’s doors.
Pull-out vice benches on the other hand are horizontal elements and can be installed at any height, though they also need to be near one of the van’s doors. They can be installed above or below:
