The noise generated by roof racks and roof bars is caused by a phenomenon known as "Karman vortex streets". In simple terms, a series of noisy vortices forms when airflow strikes the first cross bar. Now, Syncro engineers have designed the new ULTRASILENT profile for application under the first cross bar to eliminate this annoying noise. By breaking up the air flow that passes between the cross bar and the van roof, the new profile prevents the formation of vortices and dramatically reduces roof rack noise. Even before this latest innovation, Syncro roof racks were particularly silent thanks to their specially shaped aluminium cross bars. Now, with the new Ultrasilent ribbed profile in place, noise is slashed by an additional 50%, making your van superbly silent even at motorway speeds and above. These new noise-reducing profiles are extremely light, do not take up useful load space and do not interfere with the use of ropes or straps to secure cargo.
Aluminium cross bars with a soft rubber top profile, stainless steel fittings, load stops and fasteners are the basic components of the Syncro van roof transport system. The cross bars, with their protective rubber top profile, fit across the van’s roof. The front bar is also equipped with an Ultrasilent noise-reducing profile on its underside. Cross bars are available with or without stainless-steel load stops.
Syncro System roof racks consist of a number of cross bars with rubber top profiles and two side fences to stop cargo sliding sideways off the roof. At the back, over the van’s rear doors, roof racks also feature a roller for easy loading and unloading. The front cross bar is equipped with an Ultrasilent profile.
Syncro System ladder slides:
Syncro System customers can request a cross bars and ladder slide kit or a kit with cross bars, ladders slide and rear roller. Remaining roof space can be used to fit a walkway or even a second ladder slide kit.
Single and double slide ladder racks consist of a set of cross bars fixed to the van’s roof and one or two ladder slides with damped unloading action. Syncro System ladder slides let you load and unload ladders quickly, easily and in full compliance with the relevant occupational safety standards. If only one ladder slide is fitted, a side fence can be added to the cross bars at the opposite side of the roof and a half-width loading roller can be fitted in the space between the ladder slide and the side fence.

The latest innovation from Syncro System is ideal for van users who want to carry a ladder inside their vans but do not want to do without racking or clutter up the floor. Syncro’s new under-roof racks hold your ladder securely in place under the van roof, leaving the cargo compartment beneath free. The adjustable stop can be folded away for easier access to the cargo compartment. These ladder racks feature an automatic system for locking the slide at the end of its travel and an adjustable stop for holding the ladder at the rear. Operation is extremely quick, easy and safe. The ladder locks in place automatically at the end of its travel and, once secured with a strap at the back, remains firmly in place. This system offers clear advantages: your ladder travels hidden from sight and you don’t need the hassle of added bulk of a roof rack, meaning that you save in fuel too. And fuel economy is something we can’t afford to forget …
