On Friday 17 October, Syncro System celebrated its 65th anniversary with an open day and an evening party for employees and associates. The company halted production for the occasion and opened its doors the the public. Visitors were offered a guided tour of the entire production cycle, from the design to the processing, assembly and packaging of racking and accessories for vans.

The more than 500 visitors were also able to explore a number of demonstration vans on display in the company’s forecourt, experiencing first-hand the quality and complexity of Syncro van racking solutions, made possible by fully customised designs. The visit was complemented by an exhibition of photographs from the company’s past, along with a generous buffet.

One of the best appreciated moments was a live performance by artist Massimo Baggio, who transformed an old van into a work of art symbolising Syncro’s ability to give vans a new lease of life and functionality.

Sixty-five years ago, my father Francesco turned his ingenuity into a business,” recalls Luca Comunello, President of Syncro System. “Our spirit is the same today: continuous improvement and passion for a job well done.”

After the death of its founder in 1982, control of the company passed to his wife Maria and sons Luca and Adam, who carried on the business with determination, accompanied over the years by a growing team. “Our success,” explains Adamo, “stems from our humility in learning. We are proud of the progress we have made. It’s the result of the passion of our entire team.” Sister Bibiana, though she does not work directly in the company, has never stopped defending its values: “I am proud to support this company and to see that today my grandchildren are involved in our family project too. It shows that our enthusiasm and our love for our work is destined to continue.

The third generation of the family has indeed come into play in recent years: Giorgia now manages the installation department while Alessia is responsible for personnel. “When I joined the company,” Giorgia remembers, “I thought I would only stay for a while, but I soon discovered that I really liked the work, and what first seemed like a job experience has become a career choice. Today, I’m proud to be a part of Syncro and to contribute to the company’s future”.

“Sometimes,” concludes Alessia, “we all get so involved in our work that we forget how it all began. Events like this help us to take a break, look back and rediscover the meaning and value of the work we do every day.

The open day ended with a dinner party for employees and families, associates, customers and friends at Villa Gioia grande in nearby Rosà. Over 300 people enjoyed the occasion, which celebrated the success of a great team.
