In 2025 again, Syncro System is among the sponsors of the University of Padua’s Team Race Up. The company’s sponsorship covered part of the costs for the parts, production and transport of the two racing cars designed, developed and constructed by students from the University of Padua for the Formula SAE project.

Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) is a competition first established in 1981 for universities around the world. Teams of students design and construct prototype racing cars which are evaluated in static and dynamic tests conducted by automotive experts and engineers.

The University of Padua’s Team Race Up has been an active participant for the last 20 years. The team is made up of students of both sexes from the University of Padua’s engineering, economics and communication departments. For the 2025 edition, the team worked hand in hand to develop two state-of-the-art single-seat racing cars from scratch. One car has a high-performance hybrid engine while the other is a self-driving all-electric vehicle.

Formula SAE aims to promote the professional development of students in the areas of design, project planning, team building, communication and project management.

The two cars designed in Padua were presented on the 27th of June in a press conference attended by Luca Comunello, president of Syncro System.

For us,” Comunello comments, “supporting the work of Team Race Up means investing in the future of innovation and technical skills. Seeing the enthusiasm, competence and commitment of these students confirms that cooperation between business and education is the way forward.
