2025: a new green record for Syncro
“Now we can say it... We have used every square inch of available surface to install photovoltaic panels at Syncro! For the moment, we can do no more.” This proud statement was made by Luca Comunello, President of Syncro System, when he presented the latest expansion of the photovoltaic system at the company’s Cassola plant.
102 new photovoltaic modules have been installed on the roofs of two recently built structures, a canopy roof over the company car park and a technical building nearby. This latest addition increases the total number of panels installed from 1,361 to 1,463. Power output, which previously reached 450 kWp, is now approaching 500 kWp, representing a 10% increase in the energy produced from renewable sources and taking it to around 550 kWh per year.
A long-term vision
Ever since 2018 when the first photovoltaic system came online, Syncro System has stuck to its commitment to keep on reducing its ecological footprint, and has adopted various actions, systems and procedures to minimise the impact of production on the environment.
The major investment in technology that underpins this Syncro project confirms a long-term vision in which sustainability forms an integral part of company identity.
Why Syncro has chosen to support the environment
1. We are well aware of the fragile balance in which ecosystems exist and of the need for us all to reduce consumption from non-renewable sources.
2. We want economic and company growth to be supported by choices that are sustainable for the local area.
3. We believe it is important to establish a positive legacy by showing that competitiveness and professionalism can go hand in hand with environmental protection.
How Syncro has chosen to support the environment
Our good intentions have not remained on paper: they have been translated into a series of actions that have had tangible results.
- Our photovoltaic system has grown from 1,361 to 1,463 modules with this latest expansion, and now allows us to satisfy almost half of our energy requirements.
- Syncro has gradually replaced all older plant and machinery with technologically advanced models, and has achieved a progressive reduction in consumption and a substantial improvement in performance (see here for the latest important upgrade!).
- Maximum use is made of natural light at our Cassola plant, both in the production area and in our offices, and all artificial light is produced by energy-efficient LED lamps.
