A UNIQUE SOLUTION FOR A FLATBED VAN

the example seen in these photos came from our first request to create tool and equipment storage for a flatbed van, that at that point, had only the aerial lift installed on it.
MADE TO ORDER
The Syncro design team and technicians in the Lombardy branch went to work, designing a custom upfit for this unique challenge. First, they protected the entire flatbed by covering it with chequered plate aluminum panels. They created a raised, false floor around the base of the lift and mounted two drawer units (installed horizontally), each containing three drawers of varying sizes, one on each side of the van. In this way, they were able to make use of otherwise wasted space, as well as to create a sturdy base for the aerial lift.
The supporting structure and internal parts of the drawer units are made completely of aluminum. The inside of the drawers are fitted with rubber mats and metal dividers that can be used to personalize the storage space.
Since the drawer units are not installed within the van, a special custom-made locking system was used to protect the contents of the drawers against theft.
In the end, Syncro System was able to create a highly functional working vehicle that perfectly met the demands of the client whose company does electrical installations, working on streetlights, solar panels, and electrical lines. The cherry picker is obviously essential to work at these heights, but now workers can also easily bring all the equipment, tools and replacement parts, like bulbs, that they need to complete any kind of job they are called to do.
This particular upfit is extremely useful for professionals (roofers, plumbers, painters, builders and construction workers) who use a van as a base for an aerial lift.
