The Peugeot Bipper is produced in Turkey and is marketed by the Fiat, Peugeot and Citroen brands with minor aesthetic differences.
When it was first introduced in 2007, the Bipper broke new ground as a commercial vehicle, thanks to compact overall dimensions and a practical, square-shaped cargo compartment.
Syncro racking allows tradesmen and professionals who work on the move to use all available space even in small vans like the Bipper and to work more productively and efficiently.
The owner of this particular Bipper chose to install racking only on the left side.
The Syncro team began by fitting a 12 mm thick
plywood floor liner with a non-slip rubber surface, complete with stainless steel edges and recesses for the anchor rings.
The floor-level compartment is destined for
case transport and is fitted with an automatic shuttle.
Above this is a large
steel drawer with an automatic locking system, telescopic ball-bearing runners, a non-slip mat and internal space dividers. Further up is a
shelf of four removable plastic containers and at the top another shelf with space dividers.
The system is made even more functional by a number of practical accessories: an
LED ceiling light for interior illumination, a paper roll holder and an aluminium spray can rack.
These photos show a Bipper with racking on both sides. The Syncro installation team started this project by fitting a 12 mm thick marble-look plywood floor liner and
prepainted steel panels on the walls and doors.
The racking on the left consists of a tool case compartment, a
pull-out vice bench complete with a 125 mm steel vice with rotating base, two steel drawers with space dividers, two shelves with dividers and a third with six pull-out plastic containers.
The racking on the right consists of two cabinets of
pull-out transparent plastic containers, a great favourite with Syncro customers for the ease with which contents can be viewed without having to look inside.
Again, we can see various useful accessories, including an LED ceiling light, a cable holder, a bar with straps and sliding fittings and a bracket with a fire extinguisher.
Underfloor drawers are an extremely popular solution for small vans like the Bipper as they provide a flexible and practical way to optimise available space.
Three underfloor drawers have been installed in this van, two accessible from the back and one from the side door. The drawers are covered by a panel of marble-look plywood that serves as a robust raised floor. A column of racking has been installed on the left of the van, consisting of an open compartment at floor level, a pull-out vice bench with a 125 mm vice, two large steel drawers with automatic locking mechanisms in the handles, a pull-out steel tray with two component cases and, at the top, a shelf with a non-slip mat and internal dividers.
Like all vans, the Bipper is supplied without effective bodywork liners and requires additional protection. Without proper liners on the floor and walls and adequate protection for other exposed surfaces, the bodywork can soon sustain even serious damage, leading to costly repair bills.
To avoid unnecessary cost, Syncro can fit floor liners, interior bodywork liners, wheel arch covers, window grilles and other useful accessories.
Though practically shaped, the Bipper’s cargo compartment is not large. The ability to carry cargo on the roof is therefore most welcome. To satisfy this need, Syncro System offers a wide range of roof transport accessories in the form of modular
cross-bars, roof racks and ladder racks.
