Opel Vivaro 2014 conversion with shelving on both sides
Take a look at a total conversion on the 2014 Opel Vivaro with interior paneling, shelving and roof rack
CONVERSION SOLUTION WITH SHELVING FOR THE 2014 OPEL VIVARO
The Opel Vivaro is a light commercial vehicle manufactured in collaboration with Renault and Nissan and is also sold on the market (with minor differences) as the Renault Trafic and Nissan Primastar. Since it was first launched in 1999, Vivaro marked a break from other vans in its class – with a new modern blend of design, practicality and load capacity.
The new, completely renovated and improved generation Vivaro was introduced in 2014. While keeping its time-tested features, appreciated by Vivaro users all over the world, like sleek design, large square loading area (ideal for installing racking components), the 2014 Vivaro has decreased gas consumption, a smoother ride and is quieter than its predecessor.
TRANSFORMING THE 2014 VIVARO IN A FULLY FUNCTIONAL MOBILE WORKSHOP
This example of an Opel conversion has interior liners, shelving on both sides, and roof rack. The 2014 generation of the Vivaro comes with the same problem of not having adequate protection of the original surfaces from dents and scrapes. The floor is particularly prone to damage from the daily wear and tear of working vans. So the Syncro team first mounted a 12 mm, resin-coated, plywood floor panel, complete with non-slip steel borders and recessed anchorage points. The floor panel not only protects the original van floor, but creates a completely flat sturdy surface for the installation of the racking components. On the walls, we mounted pre-coated galvanized steel paneling - laser-cut for precision fit.
The racking components were installed on both sides of the cargo area. On the left-hand side, at the base of the unit, we find two storage compartments. The one covering the wheel arch is a closed compartment with door panel – equipped with the exclusive rotational hinge system, that allows the door to open completely, while leaving no protruding parts when closed. Toward the bulkhead, we mounted a strap for safely transporting tool and organizer cases. We also see a shelf bordering an area for storing equipment and materials, thanks to the track and strap system. Above that are two shelves, each with rubber mat and aluminum dividers, a metal drawer unit with 16 polypropylene drawers equipped with individual automatic locking mechanisms and internal aluminum dividers. And at the very top of the left-hand side, we fixed the long object storage shelf for fast, convenient storage of pipes, tubes and other elongated objects.
The right-hand side solution consists of a base compartment (like the one on the left) with closing front panel. Moving upwards, we see a metal pull-out tray on ball-bearing guides that houses a professional aluminum and ABS organizer case, a metal drawer with telescoping ball bearing guides and a total of 5 sturdy steel shelves, all complete with aluminum dividers and rubber mats.
For carrying out jobs on board this Transit, we added pull-down work top / vise base complete with forged steel vise, pipe jaws and rotating base. For safely transporting even heavy and cumbersome cargo, the Syncro team mounted a track and strap system, which can quickly and easily be adjusted to whatever size you need.
Last but not least, our client needed the extra transport space on the roof of the Vivaro. We fixed the patented Ultrasilent4 roof bars in steel and aluminum - specifically designed to minimize vibration and noise while on the road. The roof rack is complete with side rails and rear loading roller for easy loading and unloading.
