Shelving units and drawers for upfitting the Opel Vivaro

VIVARO: A VAN KEEPING UP WITH THE TIMES

The Vivaro made by the German-American automobile manufacturer General Motors, also sold as the Renault Trafic and Nissan Primastar, is a medium size commercial vehicle. When it was introduced on the market in 2001, it changed the parameters of vans in its class. It combines a deceptively spacious cargo area with cuboid shape. It is a sharp, contemporary looking commercial van. As is the case with so many vans, it comes in a variety of models, dimensions, engine types and cargo area sizes. Since 2001, the Syncro group has upfitted an infinite number of Opel Vivaros, for all different kinds of clients. The modularity of the system allows each upfit to be personalized to meet the needs of each individual client, as well as guaranteeing the quality of every component.

RIGHT AND LEFT-HAND SIDE RACKING COMPONENTS FOR THE VIVARO

Seen on this page is an example of an upfit on the Vivaro L1 H1 with double side doors. The first step in the upfit is mounting a durable floor panel, tackling a variety of needs: protecting the van floor, creating a solid base for installation of the racking units. The floor panel chosen for this Vivaro is the 12 mm resin-coated plywood floor panel with anti-slip steel borders, recessed anchorage points for tying down cargo, and load-bearing shims under the panel to avoid dangerous warping or buckling of the wood itself. The body of the Vivaro has been protected against bangs and dents caused by cargo, thanks to the pre-coated galvanized steel paneling. These protective panels not only help keep the cargo area cleaner but also enhance its aesthetic appeal. Now let's take a look at the actual racking components. At the base on the left side of the cargo area we installed a wheel arch base with forward-tilting base board, creating handy storage space for tools and materials. There is a drawer unit with four trays for portable utility cases that can easily be inserted and removed to bring to any work site. Along side the cases, there is another drawer unit with three drawers, all complete with automatic blocking handles, internal dividers and rubber mats. Above the drawer units, there are two shelves also complete with aluminum dividers and rubber mats. The left-hand side of the Vivaro's upfit has a similar feel. The base consists of a wheel arch frame with front door panel, an extractable workbench / vice mount with steel forged 125 mm vise, complete with pipe jaws and swivel base. Just above the vice mount, we placed another drawer unit with four extractable utility cases and a drawer unit with four 100 mm drawers. At the top of the right-hand racking unit are two bins with dividers and rubber mats. Two handy accessories complete the Vivaro's upfit. Along the bulkhead, we mounted an aluminum track with two straps for tying down and securing materials and tools. On the end panel of the right-hand racking unit we mounted a paper towel roll holder. Mission complete: and once again, the Syncro System technicians were able to create a personalized upfit exactly shaped to the clients needs.
