Upfit of the Citroën Berlingo with underfloor drawer units
STEEL DRAWERS UNDER RAISED FLOORBOARD AND DRAWER UNITS WITH PLASTIC DRAWERS FOR THE BERLINGO
The Berlingo, from the French automobile manufacturer Citroen, is a small-sized van, in production since 1995. At the time of its debut, it marked a notable change in the world of vans and light commercial vehicles: it was the first example of a multi-purpose vehicle, designed to be used both as a commercial van and a passenger van – combining practicality, esthetics and design.
The second generation of Berlingos, on the market since 2008, improved on the French vehicle's positive attributes and remarkable versatility, the key to its continuing success.

On this page, you can see an example of an upfit for the Berlingo using both steel drawer units and plastic drawers.
The underfloor drawer units are one of the highlights of the Syncro System Berlingo racking options: the drawer unit modules are large and sturdy with large drawers sliding on ball bearing glides, ensuring quiet reliable operation and a capacity of 120 kg. per drawer. Each drawer is equipped with a handle employing the characteristic Syncro automatic locking system.
The upfit on this Berlingo includes three steel drawer units, each one with a large drawer. Many of our customers opt to add non-slip rubber mats and aluminum dividers inside the drawers.
Above the drawer units, we installed a durable, coated, 12 mm plywood floor panel, complete with steel borders along the edges where the van doors are.
Above this floorboard, you can load up to 800 kg. of materials and equipment, although in the case of the lighter weight Berlingo, this would exceed the total capacity of the vehicle.
Above the wooden floor panel, on the left side of the cargo area of the Berlingo (including the wheel arch frame) comprised of two sidewalls and two angular ends, leaving the space underneath completely open for convenient storage.
Above the wheel arch, we installed two model MULTIBOX drawer units with polypropylene drawers, each with its own automatic locking button and complete with aluminum dividers. Each drawer can be divided into three parts, and therefore in these two drawer units, it's possible to stow up to 96 different types of fasteners, fittings and small parts.
One of the most useful parts of this upfit is the addition of a drawer unit that houses forward-tilting clear plastic drawers. These too, are equipped with an automatic locking buttons. This is yet another practical part of the Syncro system module components that allows you to quickly see all the drawers' contents without having to open them.
To make the Berlingo upfit even more practical and senstive to our clients needs, we've added a few useful accessories. Attached to the wheel arch frame is a strap-locking system to keep stored materials and equipment in place during transit. Plus, on the side panel of the drawer unit, we've placed a handy side storage pocket in aluminum.
