The Berlingo from the French automotive house Citroen is historically the first multi-space van to arrive on the market. It was conceptualized to both transport goods and passengers – with the front stylized more like a sedan, while the rear part extended for loading materials or carrying people. While the dimensions were kept contained, it offered a good balance of size, carrying capacity, driving comfort, practicality, and also aesthetic appeal. It's not surprising that plumbing / heating and cooling companies often choose the Berlingo as their service vehicle.

This Berlingo conversion was carried out by the Syncro technical team for a company that installs and services gas units, burners, heating and cooling, and generally everything related to the heating/cooling and plumbing systems. The first step in this conversion was mounting the interior protective paneling on the floor and walls. The extremely durable wooden floor panel ensures a perfectly level loading floor, protection of the original metal floor and creates a strong, solid surface on which to mount the racking components. To protect the walls and doors against everyday wear and tear, we mounted laser-cut, galvanized steel wall and door paneling, guaranteeing a fast and perfect fit. The racking components on the left-hand side consist of a wheel arch base with door panel, creating valuable storage space around the wheel arch . Above the base frame, we fixed two drawer units with five metal drawers – each one mounted on telescoping ball-bearing guides, and complete with rubber mats, aluminum dividers and individual automatic locking mechanisms. At the very top of the racking unit, we mounted two rows, making a total of 13 removable polypropylene bins. The right-hand side racking solution consists of a wheel arch base with rotating hinge door panel for wide-open access to the storage compartment. Above that, we placed three drawer units with plastic drawers. Two of them with clear plastic PMMA drawers – totaling 24 and the other 12 in blue polypropylene. Each drawer is equipped with an automatic locking mechanism, and internal dividers. The accessories really make the difference in fast, efficient and enjoyable working conditions on-board your van. On the rear doors, we mounted a water tank with spout and a 230 mm paper towel roll holder. Mounted to the left-hand side racking unit, is a vertical drawer unit with six forward-tilting drawers and our exclusive aluminum spray can holder. Along the bulkhead, we mounted our safe transport system with aluminum track, strap and clasp for tying down even heavy and/or bulky cargo. On the right-hand side, we installed our universal fire-extinguisher bracket, which quickly adapts to any type of extinguisher. Last but certainly not least, is the bright lighting in the cargo area, ensured by a powerful LED ceiling light, mounted above the rear doors.
