Upfit for Iveco Daily with shelving units and ladder rack

UPFIT OF THE IVECO DAILY

The Daily by Iveco, the division of the Fiat automotive company that oversees the production of vans and trucks. Due to its robustness and reliability, it has, for many years, been one of the most valued vans by companies, tradesmen, and craftsmen. Thanks to its peculiar monocoque framework (unique in the van world), it can support extra heavy loads. Over the years, Fiat has modernized its one-of-a-kind van, so that clients today still get a van complete with all of the most up-to-date and valued features. The Syncro Group has been upfitting the Daily for more than 16 years – designing, manufacturing and installing all of the interior protective linings: floor panels, and wall, ceiling and door panels, as well as the interior racking components, which include shelving and drawer units, roof-top utility racks, and ladder racks. The example of this Daily L1 H1 upfit, seen in the photos on this page, has been equipped with all of the best Syncro System products. To protect the cargo interior, we put down a durable coated plywood floor panel with protective steel borders along the lengths where the van doors are. The same plywood paneling was used for the bulkhead between the cabin and cargo area. On the walls, we mounted durable panels made of coated galvanized steel.

SHELVING AND DRAWER UNITS TO UPFIT THE IVECO DAILY

The interior upfit on the left side consists of a closed wheel arch frame with a hinged door, positioned over the wheel arch, and another one with the front left open, and complete with our portable case storage and locking system. Above the base frames, we positioned a drawer unit with steel drawers, and another with a pull-out tray complete with a 173 mm high professional ABS and aluminum portable utility case. Alongside this shelving unit, there is a second one with four more portable utility cases in their own pull-out storage trays. The four shelves with aluminum dividers making up this modular unit all have hinged front doors to keep stored cargo concealed and secured. At the very top of this unit, we mounted a long tray with raised sides for transport of long materials and objects, such as tubes, bars, and pipes. The racking system on the left side of the Daily consists of a shelving unit mounted above a single wheel arch frame base with a hinged front door. The four shelves are complete with (gas-activated spring) hinged doors, aluminum dividers, and non-slip mats. The folding-down workbench with mounted vise provides the worker with a durable steel work top, complete with a 125 mm forged steel vise with swivel base and pipe jaws. The functionality of this fire-red Daily mobile workshop has been enhanced by a few useful van accessories: on the left side, we mounted two multi-use aluminum storage pockets, plus a steel hanging cable holder for tubing, cables, and hoses. On the bulkhead, we placed two aluminum tracks with straps that can secure up to 4,000 kg of loaded materials. On the right side, there is a paper towel roll holder, a second cable holder, and a fire-extinguisher bracket (which can be easily adapted to almost any fire extinguisher). The lighting in the cargo space of this Daily is enhanced by an 18-Watt neon ceiling light.

LADDER RACK FOR THE DAILY

On the roof, we mounted a cushioned ladder rack that permits the loading even heavy ladders without a problem and without having to go up on the roof – therefore easily and safely. Constructed completely in steel and aluminum, and TUV GS certified, it is the professional solution for loading on the roof of your Daily!
