The
Daily from the Italian manufacturer Iveco is a large panel van with a monocoque frame and rear-wheel drive that makes it ideal for carrying particularly heavy loads. It is available in numerous models and the panel van version boasts ample cargo space. With the addition of Syncro racking components and accessories, it is frequently converted for use as a large, fully-functional mobile service and repair workshop. One of the extremely useful conversions that Syncro commonly carries out, is the Daily's transformation into an on-site service and repair vehicle for large agricultural machinery and equipment.
Quickly repairing agricultural machinery and equipment is vital to the farmer. Down time is costly and can create serious problems. It is often necessary to reach fields in remote areas and having a reliable, sturdy and fully equipped service van, that can immediately carry out on-site repairs, is essential.
On this page we an example of a Syncro System Daily conversion for the service and repair of tractors, combines and other agricultural machinery. The panel van version does not come with an adequate loading floor and with normal use, it can easily scratch, dent and warp.
So, the Syncro team started the transformation by putting down an extremely sturdy and durable chequered-plate
aluminum floor panel. To protect the walls and doors, we mounted pre-coated, laser-cut, galvanized
steel paneling that perfectly fits the van's lines.
The racking components on the left-hand side consist of three
wheel arch base frames –one completely open and two with door panels. Over two of the base frames, we mounted two
drawer units with a total of seven metal drawers – all equipped with automatic locking mechanisms, recessed handles, ball-bearing slides for holding heavy items, and internal aluminum dividers and rubber mats. We then mounted a
shelving unit with five shelves, complete with aluminum dividers and rubber mats, a 25 mm sturdy wooden worktop with swiveling
vise mount and vise, and close to the bulkhead a locker, complete with individual lock and key.
On the right-hand side, along the base of the racking unit, we see two wheel arch frames – both with door panels, two drawer units with five drawers and three sliding trays housing the
metal organizer cases (complete with internal mix&match bins). At the very top, we mounted three large shelves, also with metal dividers and rubber mats.
In addition, the Syncro team installed a powerful 3-phase, 6.8 kW, diesel
generator – mounted on a sliding base. This way, it can be easily run outside of the van. The generator powers a vertically positioned air compressor, which has been mounted in its own compartment on the left.
A variety of accessories can be powered by the generator, making it possible to easily carry out all kinds of jobs on site.
Finally, since accessories really do make the difference, on the rear doors, we mounted the
hand-washing kit (complete with 10 L water tank and tap), easily accessible first aid kit. We also added a 280 mm paper towel roll holder, a 4000 kg
strap mounted on metal tracks and three gas tank brackets with two polyethylene gas tanks. Bright lighting is assured by two
10W LED and two 15W LED ceiling lights. We also installed two electrical unit with three mono-phase sockets and one three-phase power sockets to be able to power the various electric tools and equipment, and finally two hanging extension cords reels, to allow the accessories to also be used far from the van.
Thanks to the mobile workshop created by the Syncro System conversion team, this Daily will now be an integral part of keeping agricultural and grounds maintenance machinery like tractors, tillers, seeders, and harvesting equipment, or landscaping equipment on the job and working smoothly – helping save time and money.
