2014 RENAULT TRAFIC – THE LITTLE VAN WITH THE CARGO OF GOLD
The Trafic, manufactured by the French automotive house Renault, is a mid-size commercial vehicle characterized by a large, square-shaped cargo bay – making it easy to convert with racking components like shelving and drawer units, and accessories. The latest generation was launched in 2014 and has improved space and practicality, as well as refined lines, improved finishings and engine.
HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF ALL THAT SPACE ON THE 2014 TRAFIC
The Syncro System group has carried out thousands of conversions, installing racking components and accessories on Trafic. We've gotten to know the needs of our Renault Trafic clients pretty well. In many cases, our clients need to transport all kinds and sizes of cargo, from large bulky equipment to small tools and fittings.
The conversion solution seen on this page includes interior protective paneling and a thin shelving unit. As in most of the vans we convert, we protected the original van floor with a 12 mm resin-coated plywood floor panel complete with non-slip steel borders and recessed anchorage points for quickly tying down cargo. The Syncro team then mounted pre-coated galvanized steel panels on the side walls. The extremely durable sheets are precision cut by laser, and assure you don't have to worry about the daily wear and tear your put your van through that causes denting and damage.
Taking a look at the racking unit on the right-hand side (between the side door and the back doors and over the wheel arch), we see an open wheel arch base frame, creating valuable storage space. Moving upwards, we mounted a drawer unit with three steel drawers equipped with telescoping ball bearing guides, recessed handles with automatic locking mechanism, aluminum dividers and rubber mats. To the side is another unit with two pull-out trays that house organizer cases – one of the crown jewels of the Syncro modular racking system. It can hold more than 25 different small parts and fittings. Completing this side are three shelves that also come with aluminum dividers.
To the end panel, facing the back doors, the Syncro team mounted a pull-down worktop / vise base equipped with automatic locking in both the open and closed positions, and complete with 125 mm steel forged vise with pipe jaws and swivel base. There are also several extremely handy accessories on board: a paper towel roll holder for 230 mm paper towels, two hanging cable holders for tubes or extension cords, and efficient strong lighting thanks to a powerful, yet compact 10W LED ceiling light.
To make the most of even the rooftop space of this Trafic, we fixed three Syncro load bars with the exclusive Ultrasilent4 design that drastically decreases drag, noise and vibrations. They are complete with our stainless steel triangular load stops.
