Racking solutions for Renault Trafic 2014

The first series Renault Trafic, introduced in 1981, was a large van with a gross weight of up to 3,500 kg. The second series, introduced in 2001, was a completely new vehicle, smaller than the previous version and classed as a medium size van. The appearance of this version marked a turning point in the design of medium vans: it was the first to boast a futuristic design and a load compartment with almost vertical side walls, ideal for the installation of Syncro System racking. Renault presented a new Trafic series in 2014, with the same overall layout as the 2001 version, but again radically renewed, with further improvements and refinements to the van’s already excellent characteristics.

RACKING WITH SHELVES AND DRAWERS FOR THE TRAFIC

After equipping this Trafic with a 12 mm thick, marble-look plywood floor liner and protective liners on the doors, the Syncro team fitted racking on both sides. The racking on the left comprises a floor-level compartment with a lift-and-rotate door, another with a strap-type case transport system, a pull-out bench with a rotating steel vice, two large steel drawers on ball-bearing runners, five shelves with non-slip mats and internal dividers, and a full-length top tray with a rear door for pipes, posts and other long objects. On the right of the van, the racking consists of a floor-level compartment with a door, five shelves with adapters for carrying ten cases and, finally, a top shelf with internal dividers.

A TRAFIC RACKING SOLUTION WITH TRANSPARENT CONTAINERS ON THE RIGHT

Syncro’s transparent container cabinets are particularly popular with Trafic users, as they are narrow enough to be installed over the van’s wheel arches without protruding into the cargo compartment. The racking on the left of this van stands on two floor-level compartments, one with a lift-and-rotate door over the wheel arch and the other with a shuttle-type tool case transport system. Above is a pull-out bench with a rotating vice, two pull-out trays holding four component cases with transparent lids, two robust drawers with telescopic, ball-bearing runners and internal space dividers, four shelves also with dividers, and a full-length top tray for long items. The racking on the right of the van consists of metal cabinets of tilting transparent containers, an extremely practical storage solution because contents are instantly identifiable. The containers themselves are amazingly tough, being made from the same materials used to make aircraft and submarine windows!

A RACKING SOLUTION ONLY ON THE LEFT OF A 2014 TRAFIC

Syncro System van racking is completely modular in design and can be configured and installed to suit your needs. The equipment in this 2014 series Renault Trafic includes a floor liner, bodywork liners and racking only on the left side. Most of the floor is therefore free for cargo. Before installing the racking, the Syncro team fitted a birch plywood floor liner with a marble-look resin surface and protected the van’s walls with galvanised, grey painted steel liners. The racking configuration comprises two floor-level compartments with lift-and-rotate doors, six steel drawers on telescopic, ball-bearing runners, four shelves with internal space dividers and a heavy duty steel rail on the bulkhead for securing cargo with lashing straps.

FLOOR LINERS AND BODYWORK PROTECTION FOR THE RENAULT TRAFIC

The Trafic is afflicted by the same problem as all vans: the cargo compartment comes without liners strong enough to protect the bodywork against damage by moving cargo. This kind of damage is particularly costly to repair and causes vehicles to lose the resale value very quickly. Luckily, the Syncro System catalogue contains an extensive choice of floor liners, bodywork liners, wheel arch liners, window grilles and other accessories.

ROOF BARS, ROOF RACKS AND LADDER RACKS FOR THE 2014 TRAFIC

Trafic users often find that there is not enough room inside their vans to carry everything they need. To allow customers to use the roof of their vehicles to carry materials and equipment, Syncro produces an excellent range of roof bars and roof racks for the Trafic, all featuring the exclusive, ULTRASILENT aerodynamic profile that dramatically reduces noise and vibration when the van is moving.
