Dacia Dokker conversion solution with ladder

The Dokker, from the Franco Romena automotive manufacturer Dacia, is a compact panel van, and just as with all Dacia vehicles, it delivers everything it promises. It’s ideal for tradespeople and small business owners who are looking for a small vehicle that offers big space for storing and transporting everything needed to let you work efficiently and effectively.
NEED TO STORE A LADDER ON YOUR DOKKER?
One of the most common requests we hear at Syncro is the necessity to transport one or more telescoping ladders. The Syncro catalogue provides a variety of solutions to do just this, depending on the van and its working needs. There are rooftop solutions, ceiling racks, clasps and straps, special clamps, and much more.
For this Dokker conversion, the Syncro technicians chose the space-saving solution of storing the ladder under the raised floor panel, leaving the cargo area free for racking units and loading materials and equipment.
One step at a time….the first order of business is to protect the van’s original interior surfaces. On this Dokker, we installed an extremely durable resin-coated marine plywood floor panel, complete with anti-slip steel borders.
The walls are protected by precision laser-cut, pre-coated galvanized steel paneling.
Under the floor panel, we mounted two drawer units with telescoping ball bearing slides, including individual automatic locking mechanisms. Both are complete with rubber mats and metal dividers. The drawer units were positioned in order to leave ample space for sliding the ladder into place.
The left-hand side racking solution is composed of shelving with safe storage for cases on the bottom, and an upper shelf with closing front panel with a patented open-wide rotational hinge system.
On the right-hand side, we mounted two metal drawer units with extractable, clear-plastic, forward-tilting drawers – all with individual automatic locking mechanisms. The larger drawers come with rubber mats and aluminum dividers, allowing for the easy separate storage of up to 12 different items – all in clear plastic, which makes seeing and retrieving parts fast and easy.
From the vast array of Syncro accessories for all kinds of conversion solutions, our client chose the ones making work on and off the van, more efficient, faster, and more satisfying.
Two notched aluminum tracks are mounted to the floor panel, complete with hooks. On the right-hand side, we mounted a spray can holder and a paper towel roll holder. Another type of track can be seen fixed to the bulkhead of the Dokker, where there is also a hanging cable holder for tubes and extension cords.
Last but certainly not least is the LED ceiling light over the back doors – guaranteeing bright light for the whole cargo area.
Mission accomplished by the Syncro team….even the ladder found a good home!
