No two Syncro van racking systems are identical. To navigate the infinite possibilities that our racking system offers, therefore, it is useful to take a look at fully customised configurations designed with maximum efficiency in mind.
The system we are exploring today is installed in a 2024 MY Nissan Interstar L2 H2. This project was commissioned by a company that specialises in high-speed doors, forklifts and cleaning services for industry.
The result of the transformation is a van with racking on both sides right up to the roof, a bulkhead equipped with cargo retaining accessories and a few special solutions to satisfy the customer’s needs.
Let’s dive in!
It is highly inadvisable to do without interior liners. And it’s not only us saying it. Just ask any customer who has installed Syncro racking in the past. Bodywork protected by liners withstands wear and impact from falling objects for years to come, and also resists the action of damp caused by accidental spillages.
The floor and bulkhead of this Interstar are covered with marble-look plywood lining panels. The floor liner is reinforced by protective steel edge profiles at the doors and is fitted with recessed steel cups to permit use of the original anchor rings while keeping dirt and water out.
The doors and walls are lined with panels of galvanised and painted steel.
The racking on the left of this Interstar L2 H2 consists of:
It (almost) always applies that any horizontal element of Syncro racking can be installed at any height, from floor level to right under the roof, and in any position, either between two side panels or inside a locker. It’s a question of flexibility, which, in the case of Syncro racking is limited only by the size and shape of the van.
Our advice? Decide where each element would be most convenient for you, make a list of your requirements and submit them to the Syncro team at the consultation stage. We’ll do everything we can to meet your needs!
Now let’s explain the “special” feature you can clearly see in the side panel of the left racking: a cutout at floor level.
This opening was tailor-made for the customer, who plans to use this compartment to stow a very heavy tool that is slightly too long to fit inside completely. The object is mounted on wheels and can be removed and replaced either through the lift-up door or simply by wheeling it into or out of this opening.
On the right of this Interstar we can see:
Here are the most convenient and logical places to install accessories when the sides of your van are full:
The racking side panels. At the rear of the Interstar, on the left, we have a Syncroblock bar with a lashing strap and a hose reel for the compressed air supply; on the right are a metal pocket and two spray can racks. At the side door are a fire extinguisher bracket, a reel for electric cable and an electric power panel.
The bulkhead. This area of the Nissan is fitted with two Syncroblock bars, one equipped with two universal clamps and the other equipped with a rubber profile to prevent scratching delicate cargo.
The roof. LED tube lights are fixed to the roof cross-members to provide homogeneous light throughout the van.
Exploring this Interstar transformation will have given you a good idea of what can be achieved with Syncro racking.
If you have also browsed the other examples we’ve suggested, you will certainly have seen the amazing range of possibilities that Syncro System offers to van users.
Now all you need to do is:
We hope to see you soon. Don’t put it off. Between 1996 and 2024 our workshops have installed custom racking solutions in over 100,000 vans.
