A comparison between two Ford Couriers with Syncro racking

The Ford Courier: two great ways to use the cargo compartment

There is no end to the ways in which van racking can be arranged. Today we want to show you two alternative solutions, both installed in the 2024 MY Ford Courier L1 H1. The two vans are identical, but the solutions adopted are completely different, precisely because the owners’ needs also differ. The liners represent the only point in common. Both vans are fitted with: a floor liner in marble-look plywood with stainless-steel edge profiles and anchor ring cups and door liners in steel panelling.

First van: commissioned by a building interior maintenance technician

Requests: easy access to all tools, spare parts and everyday items without having to climb on board; plenty of free space for stowing bulky equipment; optimal and orderly use of load space.

Second van: commissioned by a plumbing and heating system technician

Requests: easy access to the back of the van and the ability to load cargo through the rear and side doors; functional containers for carrying spare parts and sundries. Let’s take a closer look at the two solutions proposed by Syncro System, remembering that, as of 2024, we have fitted out over 100,000 vans, all fully customised, and achieved a customer satisfaction rate of almost 100%!

Other racking solutions for the Courier

The first van: the Courier for a building interior maintenance technician

This 2024 MY Ford Courier L1 H1 racking system is divided into two distinct areas: a racking section, positioned for easy access from the ground through the rear doors and a hybrid section consisting of a work bench, accessories and plenty of free cargo space. This configuration effectively prevents you climbing into the van from rear, but in compensation it offers a number of other advantages, such as an enclosed interior area and the ability to retrieve tools and materials from outside.

  • Racking section: The rear of this Courier is occupied by two racking modules. The bottom module provides four small and two large drawers while the top one consists of three large drawers and a shelf. The top module is slightly narrower than and not as deep as the bottom module. Each drawer is fitted with a non-slip mat and there is also provision for fitting space dividers.
  • Hybrid section: The back of the top racking module is covered with a panel of marble-look plywood – the same material as that used for the floor liner. This effectively forms an interior wall and serves as the back panel for the workbench formed by the rear of the bottom drawer cabinet, which is also enclosed in marble-look plywood. The vertical wall formed in this way is equipped with a paper roll holder and two of the van’s four spray can racks. The rear of the bottom racking module is also enclosed by panelling and this surface is equipped with an Airline rail with hooks and straps and a bar rack with a steel bracket and lashing strap. The remainder of the floor space has been left free and can be used to stow items of furniture or large equipment.

The second van: the Courier for a heating and plumbing systems technician

In this Courier, another 2024 MY L1 H1, great care has been taken to keep the floor clear between the sliding side door and the racking on the left and between the rear doors and the bulkhead behind the cab. The bulkhead itself is equipped with an Airline rail, hooks and straps – a versatile way to secure cargo of all shapes and sizes.

The racking itself is confined to the left of the van and consists of:

  • two floor-level compartments, one open and one with a lift-and-rotate door that folds down to provide unrestricted access
  • two wide metal drawers
  • a small shelf
  • one row of 10 small pull-out transparent containers and two rows of larger ones, all made from PMMA, giving a total of 20 Multibox containers that can be divided into even smaller compartments using internal space dividers
  • two multi-purpose metal pockets and a cable holder
