Two different Maxus Deliver9 racking solutions compared

Same company, two separate requirements: a comparison between two Maxus Deliver9 racking solutions

What happens when a company has multiple business activities with very different needs and logistic requirements? In most cases, the company operates a number of commercial vehicles, each dedicated to a specific task, and Syncro System is asked to design different custom racking solutions.

This page illustrates a practical example. The customer here is a company that offers parks maintenance, disinfestation, moving and civil and industrial cleaning services. The company brought two identical 2021 MY Maxus Deliver9 L3 H2 vans to Syncro for transformation

Let’s examine the work done on both vehicles: the overall layout might be similar, but a closer look reveals how small details can change a van’s functionality!

The left of the Deliver9: similar layouts but different details

The most notable thing about the racking on the left of these vans is that the difference lies in the details!

Both these Deliver9 vans have two columns of racking on the left, arranged side by side to occupy all available space, but…

  • The first van has a floor-level compartment with a lift-up door on a parallelogram action opening system, three shelves with top-pivot doors and gas-spring action, a Multibox cabinet with 18 transparent cabinets, a floor-level case compartment with a lashing strap, three configurable shelves and a full-length top tray;
  • The second van has two floor-level compartments with lift-and-rotate doors for unrestricted access, six metal drawers and five case trays, all with Syncro’s patented automatic latching mechanism, four plain shelves with lift-and-rotate doors and a full-length top tray.

Different details create radically different functionalities. In this case, note the choice of doors. Syncro offers three types of door, each with different opening systems and therefore with different benefits in terms of dimensions and access to contents.

Note also the accessories chosen to transport cases. The first van is equipped with a floor-level case compartment, perfect for carrying different shapes and sizes of case. The second uses case trays, specially equipped to carry Syncro’s own metal cases.

The right of the Deliver9: plenty of containers vs. plenty of space

The right-side racking illustrates how the same space can be transformed to achieve completely different results.

First van: nearly all the storage on this side of the van consists of open shelves. The floor-level compartment is fitted with a lift-and-rotate door that partly encloses the space. Then there are two large central compartments with marble-look plywood surfaces and lashing systems attached to the wall, two configurable shelves and, at the top, Multibox cabinets of pull-out transparent containers.

Second van: the racking here consists of a floor-level compartment with a door, eight metal drawers, five case trays and two configurable shelves with non-slip bottom mats and internal dividers.

Common to both solutions is a fold-away vice bench with built-in support, installed on the rear-facing side panel of the racking.

Accessories: if it’s indispensable, it’s always installed!

When it comes to accessories, the equipment installed in these two Maxus Deliver9 vans is partly identical. To put it clearly, all the essential items – those found in the list of Syncro best-sellers – are present in both vehicles.

Cleaning accessories: the left-hand rear doors of both vans are equipped with handwash kits and a soap dispenser with holder. Both vans are fitted with a paper roll holder too, though in different positions.

Lighting accessories: both cargo compartments are well lit thanks to LED tube lights on the roof cross-members.

The second van boasts a number of additional accessories: a silicone cartridge rack with nozzle holes and sections of Syncroblock slider bar with hook and strap lashing systems on the bulkhead and on the wall behind the right-side shelves.

Customising the Deliver9 to meet requirements

The clearest difference between these two vans is on the outside. The second Maxus Deliver9 is intended for use in parks maintenance and outdoor disinfestation work and has been fitted with signalling lights at the rear to enhance safety in roadside operations. The rear doors have a reflective covering and are fitted with LED arrow panels to warn other road users of ongoing work. The roof of the van is equipped with an LED signalling bar and a rotating beacon, both orange in colour.
