Racking in a Maxus Delivery for home automation and air conditioning
Even a simple racking system can make life easier
Everybody whose work takes them from one place to another needs a van equipped to carry their materials, tools and spares.
Syncro offers a vast range of racking to help you work more efficiently, and it’s not always necessary to install complex configurations.
Provided it is designed to meet your needs, even a simple set-up can radically improve the efficiency of your business.
The aim is always the same: to make your work easier, keep everything tidy and save you time and money!
The van shown on this page is an L3 H2 variant of the Maxus Delivery 9 with Syncro racking for an electrician who installs and services building automation and air conditioning systems in private homes.
The configuration is straightforward but effective, with one detail in particular saving a great deal of space.
Let’s take a closer look.

Liners make working in your van safer
Lining the interior of your van helps to keep it in tip-top condition for years to come. On top of that, it makes cleaning easier, improves the vehicle’s appearance and, more importantly, eliminates some of the risks associated with working on the move.
A floor liner, for example, provides a more even, walkable surface and minimises the risk of slipping in wet weather or in the presence of spilled liquids.
This Maxus Delivery 9 is equipped with a marble-look plywood floor liner with stainless steel edge profiles at all the doors. The rear bumper, which is inevitably subject to wear when you climb in and out of the van footwear and load cargo, has also been covered in aluminium tread plate.
To protect the side walls, the customer chose lightweight honeycomb polypropylene panelling.

Left and right walls: a full set of shelves!
Shelves are the elements most requested by Syncro customers when designing a simple, straightforward racking system.
- They are versatile and can be left without space dividers to store tools or consumables of medium size or fitted with dividers to keep smaller spares and accessories separate.
- They come in various lengths, depths and heights to suit the needs expressed during the design phase. Shelves can be all identical or their dimensions varied to follow the contours of the wall and to fit in with other elements or racking.
- They are compatible with all other Syncro racking elements.
In this Maxus Delivery 9 for a building systems electrician:
The left wall is completely occupied by two columns of racking, starting with compartments at floor level. The first compartment is partly enclosed by a patented lift-and-rotate door; the second is open but equipped with an end plate to support cases. Further up, both columns contain five configurable shelves, all with non-slip bottom mats, raised rear panels and provision for installing vertical space dividers.
The right wall is a mirror image of the column on the left and consists of a floor-level compartment with a lift-and-rotate door and five shelves. The racking on this side of the van is limited by the presence of the sliding door.
The bulkhead: a multi-purpose space
The bulkhead of this Maxus Delivery 9 is neither lined nor equipped with racking. The only addition made by the Syncro team was the installation of a Syncroblock bar at about half height, fitted with hooks and lashing straps.
This accessory is simple but essential. The lashing strap with sliding fittings is firmly anchored to the robust bar to make the transport of bulky cargo far safer. Cargo can be loaded directly through the side door into the free space at the bulkhead and held firmly in place by the lashing strap.
The bulkhead can be fitted with additional accessories at any time or, if the need arises in future, can be equipped with more racking, for example a wall-mounted cabinet of transparent containers positioned under the roof to avoid interfering with the loading and transport of large items of cargo.
The special feature of this Maxus Delivery 9 racking solution: an under-roof ladder rack
The highlight of the racking system in this electrician’s Maxus Delivery 9 is the under-roof ladder rack, a safe and convenient way to carry a ladder that leaves the floor free and avoids the need to mount a conventional roof rack.
The ladder is suspended on a shuttle with a strap that runs between front and rear stops and, once in place, is held there automatically. Ladders carried in this way are protected against the weather and potential theft, do not clutter up the floor and do not affect the van’s fuel consumption.
