The van is a Fiat Doblò L2 H2 owned by a metal fabrication company and is used to install gates and railings. The racking system installed by Syncro System divides the cargo compartment into two levels using a long drawer unit in the underfloor section.

This solution permits the installation of racking on the raised floor while providing ample storage space beneath.

Worried about rust? You should be, because rust is a real scourge for working vans. It creeps into small dents and scratches in the bodywork and, once it starts, it is virtually impossible to stop.

The only solution? Prevention, by lining your van’s bodywork with panels that absorb impact and keep moisture out.

The parts most susceptible to damage are exposed side walls and especially the floor, which is subject to wear during normal use and damage from falling tools and materials.

What makes this Doblò so special is the underfloor drawer unit. Its sturdy steel frame contains long drawers and supports a fully walkable, raised plywood floor.

The drawer unit itself consists of three drawers accessible from the rear of the van – one full-height and two smaller ones arranged one over the other. A fourth full-height drawer is accessible through the sliding side door.

Each drawer is mounted on ball-bearing runners that permit full-length extension. Inside, non-slip mats stop items sliding around and vertical dividers keep different items separate. The Syncro team has also installed racking on the raised floor over this structure. A universal case compartment has been created at floor level using a reinforced marble-look plywood base, an end plate, a shuttle and a lashing strap. Above this is a configurable shelf and, at the top, a MultiBox cabinet with six pull-out transparent containers.

A pull-out vice bench complete with metal vice has been installed between the raised floor and the base of the case compartment. The height at which the bench is positioned allows it to be used comfortably from the ground.

The racking in this Doblò is complemented by a choice of useful accessories. There is a first aid kit on the left, a paper roll holder and two cable holders on the right wall and a Syncroblock slider bar with hooks and straps on the bulkhead.
