The
new aluminum bars, that hold cargo in place with a locking lever system (model
BARFCQ), were designed to provide customers with the ability to partition the cargo space of any van in a simple, fast, secure and versatile way.
In the photos on this page, you can see the how the new bars are utilized in the
upfit of the model 2000 Fiat Doblò with high roof.
The first step of any van upfit normally involves the installation of the internal lining, necessary to preserve the bodywork from the everyday wear and tear of the loaded material, as well as to make it tidier and more functional.
Therefore we first installed the
floor panel made of durable coated 12 mm plywood. The plywood used for Syncro flooring systems is made specifically for use in commercial vehicles: it is coated with a highly resistant anti-slip and anti-scratch surface, and the glues utilized repel dampness, ensuring long-lasting durability.
The floor was then equipped with steel plates that house hooks, making it very easy to lock down cargo by using cables or straps. The floor was completed with steel borders along the lengths where the van doors are.
To safeguard the sides and the doors of the cargo area, we mounted protective panels in coated galvanized sheet metal, pre-cut to size. Very lightweight and durable, they also permit the easy mounting of accessories.
In the upper part of the cargo space, we mounted two aluminum bars (code: BARFCQ). They can be used to load materials on top, maximizing vertical storage space, or to hang various types of products and/or equipment. Extra bars can be added when needed to accommodate the changing needs of the client.
On the upper part of the bulkhead between cargo area and the cab, we mounted an aluminum crosspiece track with a series of plastic hooks for hanging items.
The upfit was completed with a range of useful
accessories: on the left side door, we mounted a steel bar. On the right side door, we mounted a hanging cable holder and an aluminum utility storage pocket.
We added a second hanging cable holder in the upper left part of the cargo area to show that the interior steel protective panels make it easy to accessorize your van.
