Since 1996, the Syncro Group has been designing, producing, and installing upfit solutions for vans of all types and models. In addition to the vast range of
shelving and
drawer units and other components of the Syncro line that can turn almost any commercial vehicle into a practical, efficient, and productive mobile workshop, Syncro also offers interior cargo protection in the form of
paneling and linings that safeguard the underlying metal body of the van from damage that can easily be caused by the everyday wear and tear of loading and unloading cargo.
Naturally, we at Syncro couldn't wait to add Ford's brand new entry to our repertoire of upfits: the mid-size Custom has clean modern lines and sports a spacious cargo area relative to its moderate size.
The photos on this page show the
interior cargo protection kit installed on this van.
The
floor panel is made of 12 mm resin-coated plywood, precision cut by CNC machinery and complete with special anti-slip steel borders. The plywood is an extremely durable 'marine' plywood sealed with phenol formaldehyde resin which repels water and dampness, ensuring worry free longevity of the product.
Finally, it is coated with a special anti-slip surface that adds extra protection for the worker.
The protective wall panels are made of pre-coated galvanized steel sheets, also laser precision cut to fit the shape of the van perfectly – protecting the side and back doors, bulkhead, and all the interior spaces in the Custom's cargo. Protective wheel well covers are also available.
Thanks to the proper protection of the cargo space, owners of the Ford Custom can get years of productive use out of their “workshop on wheels” without worrying about damaging it while moving cargo in and out.
