A Combo Opel equipped for electrician

How can you become a better electrician? By installing Syncro racking in your van!

Getting your van fitted with a racking system from the sector’s leading experts is a practical step towards improving your performance at work. A van equipped with Syncro System racking offers a number of key advantages:

  • Your tools and materials are always kept in perfect order.
  • You present a far more professional image to your customers.
  • You can focus on the job in hand without wasting time searching for lost tools and spares.

On this page you can see an Opel Combo L2H1 with a Syncro racking system for an electrician. The van’s owner chose to concentrate the racking on the left of the vehicle, and to mount only a few cabinets of space-saving, transparent containers on the right wall. The bulkhead has been left clear. The roof now provides useful carrying capacity thanks to a roof rack complete with side fences and a rear loading roller.

Protect now to avoid damage later

Protection is one of the keywords of Syncro System: protection against damage, against damp and against needless repair costs. Protection is particularly important for the interior bodywork. Without it, your van’s side walls, doors and floor are exposed to wear, damage and spillages that could soon demand major repairs.

With proper bodywork protection, these risks are eliminated. This Opel Combo is fitted with a marble-look plywood floor liner that comes complete with stainless-steel anchor ring cups and edge profiles. Syncro floor liners offer unbeatable protection against corrosion and deformation of the original floor.

The upper sections of the doors and walls are protected by strong steel panelling, the best option on the market for preventing damage in the event of harsh manoeuvres or fierce braking.

A mobile workshop in the Opel Combo

The left side of the Combo serves as the electrician’s mobile stores.

  • The floor-level compartment is fitted with an end plate on the front side panel, a slider bar at the back and a lashing strap at the front to turn it into an effective case transport compartment. This versatile arrangement can be used to carry cases of all shapes and sizes. By adjusting the strap to support the last case, a whole row can be held securely in place.
  • Three individual case trays permit the transport of tool or component cases. These trays function just like drawers: they slide on ball-bearing runners and lock in place thanks to Syncro’s highly effective, patented latch mechanism. As you can see from the photos, Syncro case trays can carry either metal tool cases or Galaxy plastic cases with clear covers.
  • Three metal drawers with non-slip mats and internal dividers provide enclosed storage.
  • The shelf at the top of the column is enclosed by a door to maximise carrying capacity.

Functional, space-saving wall cabinets in the Combo

To satisfy the needs expressed by the customer, Syncro installed a particularly compact storage solution on the right of this Opel Combo.

The wall-mounted cabinets on this side are extremely slender and extend only a little way beyond the vehicle’s wheel arch beneath. The configuration consists of three rows of transparent containers of different sizes, some pull-out, some tilting.

This clever solution allows the customer to use most of the floor to carry bulky cargo and equipment. In future, he could easily fit suitable retaining systems from the vast range of accessories in the Syncro catalogue.

You can add all the accessories you need to your Combo

The side panels of Syncro racking are characterised by equally spaced holes that can be used to mount a wide range of compatible accessories. This means that accessories can be added at any time, as and when needed.

The rear-facing side panel on the left of this electrician’s Combo has been fitted with a multi-purpose metal pocket, a spray can rack and a paper roll holder – the best-selling accessory in the Syncro catalogue.

The Combo’s roof: extra space for carrying everything you need – safely

In small vans more than in larger models, the roof provides a valuable addition to carrying capacity. A custom-made roof rack from Syncro System avoids a cluttered cargo compartment and ensures conformity with the requirements of road transport legislation.

This electrician’s Opel Combo features a roof rack that consists of aluminium cross bars, side fences and a rear roller for easy loading. The cross bar at the front is fitted with Syncro’s exclusive Ultrasilent profile to dramatically reduce noise and vibration when the van is travelling at speed.
