Every day there are hundreds of thousands of small and large businesses that deal with installing or repairing systems, machinery and equipment - many craftsmen, plumbers, electricians, elevator maintenance and repairmen, gas and water supply networks, and industrial plants, all essential to the economic life of society.
All these workers need working vans and since 1996, the Syncro System group has been upfitting vans (thanks to their series of high quality products designed specifically to meet the needs of their clients) creating efficient and practical 'workshops on wheels'.
Here you can see an example of an upfit for the Peugeot Boxer with floor panel, side panels, forward-tilting clear plastic drawers and additional accessories.
The Peugeot Boxer, with the twins Ducato and Jumper, is one of the most popular large size vans, proved by the fact that it has been in production since 1982, and has sold over 4 million vehicles.
As always, when it comes to a Syncro System upfit, the first essential step is the protection of the cargo floor and sides. Therefore, we installed a durable coated 12 mm plywood floor panel complete with steel borders along the lengths where the van doors are.
It is a solution that protects the cargo space, providing a flat, accessible floor and creating a solid base for mounting the racking components.
The walls of the Peugeot Boxer are protected by extremely sturdy and durable galvanized steel panels.
The racking system on either side of the Boxer is made up of two sets of
metal drawer units with transparent plastic drawers, while the base consists of
two open wheelhouse covers. This particular solution provides ample storage space for an enormous amount of small to medium sized objects which can be (thanks to the transparent drawers) quickly identified and retrieved when needed.
Each drawer is equipped with the patented Syncro automatic locking system, which prevents opening during transport. The entire drawer unit design is free of protruding parts, to avoid damage to drawers due to normal everyday use, while the plastic is made of high quality materials and will not yellow or breakdown over time.
The larger drawers come with aluminum dividers, allowing the orderly storage of up to 120 different types of fittings, spare parts and small parts.
The drawers are only 16 cm deep which makes it possible to mount an entire drawer unit that is thinner than the wheel arch, leaving basically the entire cargo floor free!
The upfit of the Peugeot Boxer youts several useful accessories for vans. We mounted two straps (holding up to 4,000 kg) for tying down cargo. We also mounted the
Syncro washing station kit (10 liter water tank, spout and soap dispenser) to the rear door. And on the right side wall, we also mounted an aluminum track with strap and automatic clasp, designed to keep light loads in place.
Here you can see a Peugeot Boxer upfit, which allows the orderly and quickly accessible storage of a large number of objects and fittings while leaving the cargo floor space almost completely free for easy loading and transporting of equipment and materials.
