The
Peugeot Boxer, with the identical Citroen Jumper and Fiat Ducato, is a modern day van, with a spacious, rectangular cargo area. Its owners appreciate it whether they use it as a mobile workshop or to transport merchandise.
Over time, the Syncro System group has upfitted tens of thousands of Peugeot Boxers world wide, for clients with all types of work requirements.
On this page we see an example of an upfitted Boxer with shelving units, plastic containers and a range of accessories.
As in most cases, we began by mounting a 12 mm plywood
floor panel, with the dual purpose of protecting the original van floor and creating a solid base for the racking components.
To protect the interior body, we covered the doors with durable pre-laser cut, coated galvanized steel
paneling.
The upfit on the left-hand side consists of two wheel arch frame bases including the carrying case storage and blocking system, a
shelving unit with six shelves complete with aluminum dividers, and a lower shelf complete with front door panel. At the top is a long tray with raised sides and end locking flap, ideal for transporting elongated objects.
On the right side, once again we installed a
wheel arch frame base. Above that are four shelves with plastic containers and two metal drawer units with clear plastic forward-tilting drawers.
All together the racking units on the right-hand side consist of 23 polypropylene containers of varied size, all with optional dividers. Added to that are 16 forward-tilting
clear plastic drawers, five of which come with aluminum dividers.
A particularly rich set of accessories greatly enhances the functionality of this Boxer.
The
lighting in the cargo area is supplied by two 11 watt LED ceiling lights: bright light with low energy consumption and space-saving design.
On both the left and right-hand sides of the racking unit end panels, we mounted two accessories for storing and securing long objects.
Also mounted to the end panel on the left-hand side is a 280 mm paper
towel roll holder, while on the right we mounted a worktop / vice mount with forged steel 125 mm vise, complete with pipe jaws and locking swivel base.
Above that we fixed two spray can holders.
To tie down cargo, we installed different models of our
strap and clasp system: one added to the base on the right-hand side racking unit, two on an aluminum track along the bulkhead and another two inside one of the left-hand side racking components.
Last but certainly not least is the high security UFO lock on both the side and back doors – a top choice to protect the valuables in your van.
Mission complete: thanks to the modularity of Syncro System components, we were able to design and install a personalized upfit that met the needs of our client!
