THE BOXER WITH LEFT-HAND SIDE RACKING UNITS AND ROOF RACK
On this page, we see an example of a Boxer conversion with racking components on the left-hand side only – leaving most of the ample cargo space free. Starting from the bottom up – you can see that we installed our 12 mm resin-coated plywood floor panel with steel borders and imbedded anchorage points, making it fast and easy to tie down cargo. The wooden floor panel does three things: protects the original van floor, creates a perfectly flat loading surface, and provides a solid base to which it is possible to mount the racking components. One of the weak points of the Boxer is the interior protection that comes standard on most vans. The inadequate lining leads to damage with the daily wear and tear that working vans are subjected. For this reason, Syncro offers a wide selection of interior paneling - durable, efficient, and simple to install, they also give your van a truly professional look. For this conversion, the Syncro technicians mounted our laser-cut, pre-coated, galvanized steel paneling on the side walls and doors. The left-hand side racking solution consists of a modular shelving unit. At the base is a wheel arch frame with closing front panel - creating valuable storage space – and an open compartment equipped with the safe case storage system, including an automatic locking shuttle. Above that, we find 12 metal drawers, all with automatic locking mechanisms, rubber mats and aluminum dividers. Drawers are all mounted on ball bearing slides, assuring full extension of each drawer. Moving upwards, Syncro technicians mounted a shelving component with three shelves, complete with rubber mats and metal dividers, and three more bin shelves, including 15 removable and transportable polypropylene bins. The bright lighting in the Boxer cargo area is guaranteed by two powerful 11-Watt LED ceiling lights. For quickly and securely locking down all types of cargo, such as ladders, tables, paneling, etc., we added a pair of our patented Fermatutto van clamps. To make use of the Boxer’s roof space, we mounted the Syncro steel and aluminum roof rack with side rails and roller for easy and fast loading. We finished off the conversion with an aluminum roof-top tube carrier for transporting a variety of long items like rods and pipes.
