The Scudo, from the Italian automotive manufacturer, Fiat, is a mid-size van. It is available in two sizes. The larger model has a total cargo volume close to that of a full-size commercial vehicle. The first generation Fiat Scudo created a small revolution in the world of commercial vehicles; in fact, when it was launched, its modern and innovative design (smart lines and spacious cargo area) gave it a big advantage over its competition. The other automotive companies took note and redesigned their own van models and therefore, the second generation Scudo, though still popular, wasn't the standout that its predecessor had been. The Syncro Group helps each Scudo client choose the right accessories to create the upfit that perfectly meets his or her particular work needs. The photos on this page show a simple upfit on a Fiat Scudo long wheel base, high roof. We first protected the cargo floor with a 12 mm coated plywood floor panel complete with protective steel borders along the lengths where the van doors and recessed steel anchorage points designed to lock down cargo using cables or straps. To facilitate the loading and unloading of the machinery used by this customer, we installed a rear cargo loading ramp (series "light" ramps), constructed completely in aluminum, with a 600 kg lifting capacity. Because the customer does not always need to keep the ramp fully extended, we designed it to be able to fold up and then rotate back, swinging out the way, as if it were a third door, leaving the back opening of the cargo space conveniently free.
