A van only becomes really functional when it can satisfy all its owner’s needs. Luckily, Syncro System racking is designed with this aim in mind!
This Fiat Scudo L2 H1 is operated by a cleaning business who wanted:
A good racking system always starts with good liners. The owner of this Fiat Scudo L2 H1 decided to protect not just the floor but the walls and doors too. To cover the original floor, formed by a simple steel sheet with an uneven surface, the customer chose a plywood floor liner with a marble-look surface. This liner stands out from those of the competition for its use of spacers in all the floor recesses, ensuring excellent stability and sag resistance. Another distinctive feature is the use of stainless-steel anchor ring cups and edge profiles, giving unbeatable strength and corrosion resistance. The van’s side walls and doors are protected by tough steel panels.
Both the racking and the pivot point of the ramp are positioned on the left of the cargo compartment. This leaves as much floor space as possible free for carrying the cleaning tools, equipment and materials needed for daily operations.
The racking in this Fiat Scudo consists of two floor-level compartments with Syncro’s patented fold-down doors that open to provide unrestricted access, four configurable shelves with non-slip mats and space dividers for creating custom-size storage compartments and raised rear panels to stop items falling down behind the racking. A fifth shelf has been transformed into a closed compartment by the addition of a lift-up door mounted on gas springs.
A full-length top tray provides the last element in the configuration. A fold-down door at the rear makes it easy to load and unload long items line brush handles and pipes. This product can be adapted in length to fit any make and model of van.
A folding, pivot-mounted loading ramp is also installed on the left of the Scudo. This model of ramp permits easy access to the van without having to deploy the ramp first as it pivots to one side to create a large opening. When the ramp is needed for loading or unloading the floor sweeper, the free side can be fixed to the floor of the van in next to no time to ensure a secure grip before the ramp is extended to the ground.
A ramp is indispensable for loading heavy machines without risk to the operator. Ask the Syncro System team for advice in choosing the right ramp from the hundreds of models available in our catalogue!
The right side of this cleaning firm’s Fiat Scudo has been left totally free apart from the addition of a length of Syncroblock aluminium bar with hooks and lashing straps above the wheel arch. It’s easy to imagine all the potential uses for this accessory. It can be used to secure the floor sweeper or any other large items of equipment carried on board.
The Syncroblock bar on the bulkhead is equipped with two independent sets of hooks and straps for the same purpose.
Van carrying capacity is generally quoted in cubic metres, but this figure ignores one potentially useful carrying surface: the roof!
Syncro System roof racks are easy to install and use and can transport a great deal of equipment in complete safety, with no risk to other road users.
