Discover Syncro’s racking solutions, protective liners, accessories and roof racks for the Toyota ProAce City.
The Toyota ProAce City is a light commercial vehicle developed by Toyota in conjunction with PSA. The van is also marketed as the Peugeot Partner, Citroen Berlingo and Opel Combo. The ProAce City is available in two lengths (short wheelbase 4.4 metres and long wheelbase 4.7 metres). As a working van, it offers a generous amount of cargo space. The engine range includes diesel and petrol versions delivering between 75 and 130 HP.
Practical, agile and versatile, with the tallest cargo compartment in its class and enough room to carry two Europallets even in the short wheelbase version, the ProAce City is perfect for carrying small loads and for conversion into a compact mobile workshop for installation and maintenance work.
The ProAce City boasts a generous cargo volume for its overall dimensions, up to 3.7 m³ for the SWB version and 4.3 m³ for the LWB version. At the rear, it can be equipped with double swing doors or a single upward opening tailgate.
A PROACE CITY WITH UNDER-FLOOR DRAWERS
Under-floor drawers are an extremely popular solution for small vans. These large drawers are easily accessible from the rear and side doors and come with a raised floor in plywood or aluminium, strong enough to withstand a full load of cargo and serve as a support for racking.
The ProAce City seen here is equipped with three under-floor drawer units. Above them, on the left of the van, the Syncro team has installed a compact racking configuration with a bottom compartment and two shelves enclosed by lift-and-rotate doors, a pull-out vice bench with a 125 mm forged steel vice and, at the top, a shelf with 6 removable plastic containers.
The racking is complemented by a paper roll holder on the van’s right wall.
SUSPENDED RACKING IN A TOYOTA PROACE CITY
This van is fitted with a 12 mm thick birch plywood floor liner with a marble-look surface, complete with recessed cups for the original anchor rings and stainless-steel edging at all the doors.
The racking on the left consists of removable plastic containers, metal drawers on ball-bearing runners with internal mats and dividers, a configurable shelf also with dividers, and a cabinet of Syncro’s exclusive, practical, transparent containers, made from PMMA, the indestructible material used for aircraft windows.
The racking on the right is fixed to the top of the wall without any support from the floor and consists of a shelf with dividers and another shelf of plastic containers.
This solution leaves most of the floor free for cargo while providing enough racking elements to carry all the customer’s tools, equipment and spares securely and in perfect order.
RACKING ONLY ON THE LEFT OF THE PROACE CITY
Here’s an example of racking only on the left of a ProAce City. In this case the van’s bodywork is protected by a floor liner in 12 mm thick birch plywood with a rubber-coated surface, and interior liners in painted steel sheet.
The racking includes a floor-level compartment and a shelf, both enclosed by lift-and-rotate doors, and a series of large drawers mounted on telescopic, ball-bearing runners, complete with non-slip mats and internal dividers.
This ProAce City is also fitted with roof bars in aluminium and steel.
REINFORCEMENT AND PROTECTION FOR THE BODYWORK OF THE PROACE CITY
Like all vans, the ProAce City comes without effective protection against bodywork damage caused by falling cargo. It’s not unusual for heavy items and tools to slide around when a van is moving, and if these items strike a thin body panel, they can easily cause damage. As time passes, dents can lead to rust and, in extreme cases, to holes in the bodywork.
Luckily, the Syncro Group supplies a wide range of floor and bodywork liners for the ProAce City.
Syncro’s floor liners in marble-look or rubber-coated plywood or aluminium and interior lining panels for the ProAce City are all made from lightweight but extremely tough materials.
CARRYING CARGO ON THE ROOF OF YOUR PROACE CITY
Syncro System’s vast product range includes numerous solutions for carrying cargo and equipment on the roof of your ProAce City.
Syncro’s proposals start with aluminium and steel roof bars with scratch-proof rubber top profiles and optional load stops.
Complete roof racks with side fences and rear loading rollers are also available. Roof bars and racks can also be fitted with slides for loading ladders quickly, easily and safely.
Aluminium pipe carriers are available to carry long objects like pipes, posts and cable channels.
All types of Syncro roof rack incorporate the exclusive ULTRASILENT profile which eliminates the vortices that form at speed under conventional roof racks. Syncro roof racks therefore guarantee dramatically less noise and vibration on the road.
