Racking for Fiat Talento, from Syncro System
The Fiat Talento was presented in 2016 and replaced the Scudo in the Fiat Professional range of commercials. In terms of design and dimensions, the Talento is very similar to the latest Renault Trafic, and occupies a place between the Ducato and the Doblò Cargo in the Fiat range. Fiat named the Talento after a version of the Ducato produced some years ago, whose characteristics were similar to those of the van introduced in 2016. The Talento added new lengths and new load capacities to the Fiat range, increasing the choice available to customers.

CUSTOM-MADE FLOOR AND BODYWORK LINERS FOR THE FIAT TALENTO
The first thing that Syncro technicians do when any new van comes into the workshop is install adequate protection for the load compartment. This ensures that the vehicle stays looking good for years to come and maintains it value and functionality for as long as possible.
The floor of the 2016 Fiat Talento illustrated in these photos is protected by panels of resin-bonded plywood. The liner is cut to size at Syncro’s works in San Zeno di Cassola and fitted with non-slip metal edging at the doors. Thanks to the tough material from which it is made, this Syncro floor liner not only withstands human traffic but also resists humidity and liquid spillages.
The bulkhead liner is made from the same material.
Floors can also be covered in aluminium tread plate, an alternative that is just as functional but completely different in appearance.
In this case the customer preferred to line the walls and doors with galvanised and painted steel panels. Honeycomb plastic and aluminium panels are also available.

A FIAT TALENTO FITTED OUT AS A MOBILE WORKSHOP BY SYNCRO SYSTEM
The second and most complex step in this Talento conversion was the installation of the racking, accessories and components in the cargo compartment.
This particular van is fitted out as follows.
The floor liner is made from 12 mm thick birch plywood with a marble-look finish, complete with steel edges at the doors and recessed cups for the anchor rings.
The racking on the left of the van starts with two floor-level compartments, one with a lift-and-rotate door and one with a case retaining system. Above these are four metal drawers with ball-bearing runners and seven shelves with metal space dividers.
On the right we can see a number of cabinets containing a total of 24 pull-out transparent containers, all with automatic locking mechanisms. At the top is a steel shelf with aluminium space dividers.
The racking system is complemented by a number of accessories: a multi-purpose rack, a paper roll holder, a spray can rack, powerful LED ceiling lights for illuminating the cargo compartment and a bar with straps and sliding fittings for securing cargo. Note that two cabinets of tilting transparent containers are installed where they are easily accessible from the van’s side door.
RACKING ON THE LEFT OF THE FIAT TALENTO
The Talento seen here is fitted with racking only on the left side, with most of the floor area left completely free.
The first job for the Syncro team was to protect the inside of the van’s cargo compartment by installing a floor liner in 12 mm thick birch plywood with a marble-look surface and bodywork liners in painted steel sheet.
The racking itself starts with a floor-level compartment with a lift-and-rotate door over the wheel-arch and a second floor-level compartment with a case transport system. Above these are a pull-out vice bench with a 110 mm steel vice and rotating base, six large shelves with internal space dividers and a full-length top shelf for long items like pipes and cable channels.
At the end of the racking are two useful accessories from the vast Syncro System catalogue: a paper roll holder and a holder for cables and extensions.
