Every trade or profession has its own special requirements. Some need plenty of free space inside the van, others need lots of storage. Some need to integrate their own equipment into the racking system, others need to tailor available space according to the activities they perform… Luckily, Syncro System always has the right answer, thanks to the amazing versatility of Syncro van racking.
The photos on this page show a Citroen Jumper L2 H1 owned by an antenna installer. What were the requirements in this case?
1. To leave most of the van’s floor free to carry bulky items of equipment
2. To keep the racking as far forward as possible, making loading and unloading through the rear doors easier
3. To provide enough easily accessible and functional storage and to carry essential tools and spares in securely stowed cases
4. To carry long ladders, cable ducting and pipes without cluttering up the inside of the van
The first step in this Jumper transformation project for the Syncro team was to protect the original floor. Robust liners serve various purposes: they reinforce the sheet metal panels of the original floor; they form a robust, level and walkable surface; they provide an easily washable surface; and the protect the original bodywork against scratches, dents, water and damp.
The floor liner in this van is made from plywood with a marble-look finish and comes pre-shaped and pre-drilled ready for installation. Syncro’s special installation technique ensures a more even distribution of weight over the floor surface and eliminates the risk of liners sagging and cracking.
Syncro also supplies and installs custom-made lining panels for your van’s walls, doors, wheel arches, bulkhead and roof.
If your work requires you to carry lots of materials and equipment, including some quite bulky items, you need plenty of room in the middle of your van. For this Citroen Jumper, the decision was made to limit the racking to the right side and the bulkhead in order to leave most of the floor free and to facilitate loading through the rear doors, which offer improved access and more room to manoeuvre than smaller side doors.
The whole of the left wall has been left free.
A simple column of racking has been installed on the right wall, consisting of four configurable shelves with non-slip bottom mats and metal dividers. The bottom shelf is positioned well above the wheel arch and is supported by narrower side panels. This saves floor space that may be vital for bulky loads.
A more advanced racking configuration is installed on the bulkhead of this Jumper. The column installed here comprises:
In addition to van racking, Syncro System also supplies a vast range of accessories to satisfy all possible customer needs.
This Citroen Jumper for an antenna installer has been equipped with two cleaning accessories: a Scrubs dry wipes holder and a paper roll holder. Many trades have to carry long objects around on a daily basis. This is certainly the case of an antenna installer, who always needs ready access to ladders, posts and cable ducting. The best way to avoid cluttering up the cargo compartment is to carry these items on the roof.
On this Citroen Jumper, the Syncro team has installed a roof rack and two ladder slides complete with lashing straps. Syncro ladder slides incorporate a damped lowering mechanism and a gas spring assisted lifting system. Between the two slides enough room remained to fit a round section pipe carrier with a door that is accessible from the ground.
