Even a large van needs a helping hand to be really effective!
It takes rational organisation to turn plenty of space into plenty of carrying capacity. Syncro System boasts thirty years of experience in designing and installing van racking systems, and has achieved total customer satisfaction in over 90,000 van transformations. On this page you can see a Citroen Jumper L1H1 owned by a small heating and plumbing firm.
The customer’s main requirements were to carry all his tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and to know exactly where everything is! Let’s take a closer look!
The very first stage of this project made a vast difference to this Citroen Jumper. By installing a set of interior liners, Syncro System:
The floor is protected by a plywood floor liner with a marble-look surface and with anchor ring cups and edge profiles in stainless steel for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. The bulkhead behind the cab is covered in panels of the same material, shaped to follow the contours of the body. The doors and walls, on the other hand, are protected by laser-cut steel panels that guarantee maximum strength and a drastic reduction in damage in the event of an accident.
Both sides of the van have been covered in racking for their full length.
The racking on the left starts with two floor-level compartments. The one over the wheel arch is equipped with a patented lift-and-rotate door that opens to provide unrestricted access to the storage area behind it. Above are three drawers with non-slip mats and space dividers, a tray containing two metal cases, six configurable shelves and a full-length top tray with an access door at the rear.
Space on the right of the van is limited by the side door. The remaining space is occupied by a racking column that consists of a floor-level compartment with a lift-and-rotate door, six shelves of removable plastic containers and a top shelf.
This configuration provides a total of 8 large plastic containers and 16 smaller capacity, lower ones. All containers are held in place by custom-made frames that stop them sliding around when the van is moving and all come with label holders at the front (you can download the labels free here!).
A fold-away vice bench with a built-in support and patented mechanism is attached to the rearmost side of the racking. This type of bench boasts an automatic opening and closing system and, once extended, provides a strong, robust work surface.
To optimise the functionality of this Jumper, the Syncro team added the following useful items:
Safety is the most important feature of Syncro racking, which carries the GS “proven safety” mark and recently passed a 50 km/h crash test with flying colours. Safety is also a requirement of modern transport law, especially as applied to items carried on the roof of a vehicle.
The roof rack installed on this Jumper satisfies all the relevant safety standards. The cross bars are made from aluminium while the fasteners and load stops are made from stainless steel. The tops of all the cross bars are covered in rubber to avoid scratching the cargo, and the front bar also features Syncro’s exclusive Ultrasilent profile for a quiet, vibration-free ride.
