The integration of Syncro racking into an ambulance
The special racking solution presented on this page is installed in an ambulance. What makes this installation special is not the configuration itself, which consists only of a small cabinet of drawers and a shelf, but its position. The vehicle operators came to Syncro System not to design a complete new partial or full racking system, as usually happens, but to solve a problem created by another racking installer in the otherwise fully equipped ambulance.
The operators’ need for a more functional ambulance
The ambulance operators asked us to design a set of drawers and a small open shelf for installation in a free space located alongside the seat of the paramedic who accompanies patients on their journey to hospital. Given the importance of this role, all available equipment must be extremely functional and trouble-free! Let’s see how Syncro’s experts responded to the request.
A combination of drawers and shelf in an ambulance
The space available for the Syncro racking was extremely small. Despite this, our technical staff managed to design a configuration of perforated side panels and horizontal elements that provides secure storage for all the frequently used materials that require quick and easy access, especially in an emergency. The unit consists of:
- three metal drawers with handles in the front panels and with non-slip mats and metal partitions inside for keeping different items separate
- a narrow but deep open shelf that provides instant access to contents but nevertheless ensures effective containment
- a slider bar for use with different retaining accessories, for the secure transport of all kinds of materials and equipment
Total flexibility: the great advantage of Syncro Ultra
The way in which the Syncro System team integrated this racking unit into the ambulance is a great example of the amazing advantages of Syncro’s Ultra racking system, which was first introduced in 2019. Our research and development department came up with a design that allows users to combine different horizontal elements like drawers, shelves, vice benches and case trays exactly as needed to exploit every inch of space in the most functional way possible for their work. The entire system is based on modular side panels that allow racking to adapt perfectly to the space available. Another small but important detail is the presence of equally spaced holes in the side panels, giving users complete freedom to arrange and reposition accessories as needed.
