There is only one solution to the needs of customers asking Syncro System to fit out their van: a completely personal project. There is no standard answer, just custom solutions. And customisation is easy thanks to the amazing versatility of Syncro racking and the vast experience of Syncro technicians, who have fitted out over 90,000 vans around the world since 1996!
This page illustrates an Iveco Daily L3H2 fitted out for a firm that installs and maintains mobile telephony systems.
The two sides of the van are configured asymmetrically, and essential accessories have been added to secure cargo and provide enough illumination to permit work inside the van under all lighting conditions. Let’s take a closer look!
Step one: line the van’s interior to protect the bodywork against dents, scratches, damp, spillages and rust. This is an essential first step in all van racking installations. It may seem unnecessary but protecting the original bodywork means preserving it and avoiding needless repair costs and loss of resale value down the line.
The Daily seen here is fitted with a birch plywood floor liner with a marble-look surface. Unlike alternative products, liners from Syncro come with reinforcing spacers that create a robust walkable surface and prevent sagging over recesses in the original sheet metal floor. The walls and top sections of the doors are lined with robust steel panelling. Even the wheel arches are fully enclosed in a combination of plywood and steel sheet.
Step two: fit out the cargo compartment in a way that ensures safe and orderly storage for tools, materials and equipment, and saves time and money too.
This Daily features an asymmetric racking solution with the racking on the left side located at the front, against the bulkhead. The wall towards the rear of the vehicle is empty apart from two cargo lashing systems. The racking on the right of the van is concentrated at the rear, leaving the side door free for easy access. Useful accessories are present on this side too.
Syncro System calculates that a properly customised van racking system can save its user 30 minutes a day, which amounts to a saving of 16,500 euros in just 5 years – money far better invested in the business or spent on a favourite hobby! How is this possible? By keeping everything in place so that you know where to find it and by avoiding needless repurchases and trips back to base!
On the left of this Daily we can see:
The racking on the right of the Daily consists of two open shelves with their flanges facing up, the lower one serving as cover for the wheel arch compartment beneath. Above are a configurable shelf with a lift-and-rotate door and a second, special shelf with removable plastic containers.
What makes this configuration unique is the presence of two custom-made case racks that hold cases in an upright position near the side door. The two racks are made from perforated sheet and are open at the front to permit easy insertion of metal or plastic cases and unrestricted access to the handles for removal. Retaining mechanisms hold the cases securely in place during transit.
This side of the van too is equipped with useful accessories. The rear-facing side panel is fitted with a water tank with tap, a paper roll holder and a liquid soap dispenser.
The underside of the Daily’s roof is equipped with low consumption, high power LED lights while the bulkhead is equipped with a length of Syncroblock bar and a number of garment hooks for work clothes.
