A Master for a plumber-electrician

A Master L2H2 for a plumber-electrician

Some form of racking is essential, especially in larger vans. This is because space needs to be organised as effectively as possible to avoid wasting it or, worse still, finding all your stuff in a heap on the floor and wasting valuable hours searching for what you need.

A Syncro System racking solution lets you exploit the full height of your van and gives you robust drawers, shelves, cases and plastic boxes to hold all your tools and materials securely in place as you travel to your next job. In addition to tidiness, you gain in safety too!

The Renault Master 2010 L2H2 seen in the photos on this page is owned by a building systems installer who installs domestic and industrial plumbing and electrical systems. The van has been fitted out with racking on both sides and equipped with practical accessories on the doors, bulkhead and roof.

Racking is essential for efficiency, but don’t forget to protect your van’s bodywork!

Before installing the racking, Syncro System fitted robust liners on the floor, walls and doors – a step that Syncro is convinced adds value to the finished van. Without proper liners, the thin sheet metal that forms the bodywork is easily scratched and dented, allowing damp to penetrate and requiring expensive repairs in very little time.

The floor of this Master is protected by a plywood liner with a rubber-coated surface and stainless-steel anchor ring cups and edge profiles. This type of liner is amazingly tough, thanks in no small part to the addition of spacers to the underside to create a sag-free surface. The doors and part of the left wall have been lined with custom-made steel panelling.

A custom configuration from Syncro on the left of the Master

The left of this system installer’s Master features a personalised racking configuration. The two columns of racking are of radically different height and depth. The column near the bulkhead consists of five configurable shelves, each with a non-slip mat in the bottom and with space dividers to keep different items separate. The floor-level compartment of this column has been converted into a case transport system by adding a lashing strap and end plate kit. The column near the rear doors, on the other hand, consists only of one simple compartment built around the wheel arch, with a bottom profile at floor level and a marble-look plywood work surface above it.

At the top of everything is a full-length top tray with a fold-down access door at the rear for carrying particularly long objects.

Drawers and more shelves on the right of the Master L2H2

The racking on the right of this building system installer’s Master is made up of different elements. The floor-level compartment is enclosed by a lift-up door. Over this are four metal drawers with Syncro’s patented retaining mechanism, four trays containing cases, featuring the same patented retaining system, and four configurable shelves, including one right at the top. Note how the various sections of this column have three different depths. This allows the racking to follow the contours of the van’s bodywork while remaining perfectly aligned at the front. This is one of the key advantages of Syncro racking and a great way to make the most of space even in small vans!

Accessories: 100% functionality

Without the right accessories, it is very difficult to get the most out of your van. A vast range of accessories allows Syncro to respond to all customers needs and maximise efficiency and potential in all situations. In this Master L2H2 we have:

  • on the left wall, a length of Syncroblock slider bar fitted with a hook and strap lashing system on the left door, a set of cleaning accessories including a handwash kit comprising a water tank with holder, strap and tap, a soap dispenser also with holder, and a paper roll holder with rain cover;
  • on the right door, other cargo carrying accessories: two telescopic hooks and a hook and strap lashing system;
  • on the bulkhead, another length of Syncroblock bar with hooks and straps to convert an otherwise unused area into a safe and robust support for bulky goods and materials;
  • on the underside of the roof, LED ceiling lights to provide uniform illumination throughout the cargo compartment.

A basic roof rack for the Master

Syncro System supplies custom roof rack systems for all models of van and these can be equipped to suit the user’s needs. This Master L2H2 is fitted with a simple set of aluminium cross bars with a non-scratch rubber top profile and stainless steel load stops. This particular roof rack consists of four cross bars in all. The front bar is fitted with Syncro’s Ultrasilent profile to minimise the noise and vibration caused by a turbulent air flow when the van is moving at speed. The Ultrasilent profile is extremely light and does not impede the use of straps to secure cargo.
