Vehicle assistance requires a well-equipped and fully functional van workshop. Here is a great example in a Renault Master L2 H2. This fully customised Syncro System racking solution was specially designed to meet the needs of a customer who repairs and services cranes, farm machines, vans, SUVs and trucks.
The transformation has some particularly noteworthy features:
Let’s take a closer look!
Liners in a mobile workshop need to guarantee adequate protection for every surface exposed to damage, wear and liquids. In this Master for assisting heavy vehicles, not only the floor but the walls, doors and bulkhead have been covered over. The floor liner is made from plywood with a marble-look surface and comes complete with cups for the original anchor rings and edge profiles for added protection against impact and humidity. The same material has been used to cover the van’s bulkhead, with a number of panels arranged to cover the entire surface and to follow the contours of the bodywork. The van’s sides and doors are lined with steel panels. This material is not just extremely attractive in appearance but also provides a perfect base for racking and accessories, being strong enough to withstand fierce braking or even collisions.
To make its user fully autonomous, this van had to provide everything needed to work effectively – not just tools, equipment and spares but essential items like power sockets connected to a source of electrical energy and a compressed air supply for cleaning and inflating tyres.
This Master offers both these facilities thanks to a wiring system with power sockets near the work area, an inverter for the production of AC current and a Thunder compressor complete with an 80-litre auxiliary air tank connected to a hose reel.
For van users, autonomy also means being able to wash your hands and clean tools in the absence of a mains water supply and drains. This van is equipped with a set of cleaning accessories that includes a handwash kit, soap dispenser and paper roll holder, all installed on the left rear door.
Finally, autonomy means proper illumination inside the van, so that work can be done even in poor winter light and in challenging logistic and weather conditions. This requirement is satisfied by under-roof LED tubes that consume very little energy but deliver a powerful light!
Looking in greater detail at the racking on the left of this Renault Master for heavy vehicle assistance, we can see:
The right wall of this Renault Master L2 H2 is equipped with:
Cargo retaining accessories are key to the versatility of the space in this van. The bulkhead is equipped with two lengths of Syncroblock bar, an exclusive Syncro product that can be used with a vast range of cargo retaining accessories. In this van, these bars are fitted with hooks and lashing straps.
Two parallel sections of milled rail have been recessed into the floor liner and fitted with metal rings for use in strapping loads of all shapes and sizes securely in place. These rails can also be used in conjunction with Syncro cargo bars.
Two cable holders and five large metal pockets also help keep things tidy.
You may well have to transport heavy machines or use pallet trolleys to load boxes of consumables. If you do, having a loading ramp makes all the difference.
The ramp seen in the last two of these photos is a lightweight and portable model. It can be stowed inside the van and held in place by cargo lashing systems so that it takes up very space, and can then be positioned at the van's rear doors when needed. Syncro System offers a vast range of foldable loading ramps with capacities from 400 to 1800 kg, including models designed for permanent installation on a pivot mounting that allows the ramp to swing open to provide unrestricted access to the van.
