What do you need to transform a van into a mobile workshop? Syncro System has being doing the job since 1996, and if you have a chat with any Syncro racking technician, they’ll always list the following stages:
The vehicle on this page is a 2010 model year Renault Master L1 H2. Its owner, a tyre fitter, asked us to provide a racking solution for dealing with tyre servicing and emergencies at the roadside.
Let’s examine the work done in the van, step by step!

This Master is equipped with a complete set of liners. Apart from keeping the bodywork free from damage, this also dramatically improves the appearance of the interior. The van’s floor, wall, doors and bulkhead liners form uniform surface that is extremely easy to clean.
The floor is covered with a marble-look plywood floor liner installed using a method exclusive to Syncro, which ensures even weight distribution and includes the installation of steel profiles to protect all exposed edges.
Custom-made steel panels protect the walls and doors and serve as anchorage for the racking and accessories.
The bulkhead is also covered in marble-look plywood panels that are specially shaped to follow the complex contours.

Both sides of this tyre fitter’s Master are fully equipped. Between them, the racking and accessories occupy 100% of available space in height and width, but take up little space in depth. The central aisle therefore remains spacious and can easily be used to carry even large, bulky materials and equipment.
The racking on the left consists of:
Space on the right wall is restricted by the sliding side door, but the remainder of the wall has been exploited to the full. The racking here consist of a floor-level compartment with a lashing strap, an open shelf partly enclosed by a lift-and-rotate door (a Syncro patent) that opens to permit unrestricted access, three configurable shelves and, at the top, a cabinet of four tilting and fully removable Multibox transparent containers.
Also on the right of the van, attached to the rear-facing side panel, is a fold-away vice bench. The primary purpose of this accessory is to hold a vice, an essential tool for minor repairs, adjustments and modifications. In practice, however, thanks to its robust build and flat top, Syncro’s fold-away bench can be used as a work surface for all kinds of jobs or even as a table for electronic devices and filling in forms.
When folded away, the bench occupies very little space, but in just a few seconds it can be extended by releasing the locking lever at the side and lowering it into horizontal position, where it locks automatically in place. In this position, the sturdy and stable bench can be used directly from the ground outside the van.
The bulkhead of the tyre fitter’s Master L1 H2 is equipped with a length of Syncroblock bar with attachments and lashing straps for securing cargo. This bar is complemented by a second on the left side wall.
This is not the van’s only accessory, of course. The vehicle also boasts:
