Racking Syncro System for the Renault Master

Renault presented the fourth series Master in 2010, twelve years after the launch of the first series that sold over a million units. The latest van is produced in the SOVAB plant in Batilly, in the Lorraine region of France. Today’s Master comes with a renewed range of engines, a larger, more spacious cab, and numerous innovative solutions. A total of 350 different configurations exist: buyers can choose between three heights and four lengths (formed by three wheelbase options and two rear overhangs), 40 body solutions, front or rear wheel drive, and load capacities from 2.8 to 4.5 tons (twin wheel version). The engine, Renault’s new 2.3 dCi diesel, is available in 100, 125 and 150 HP versions and consumes on average 1 litre of fuel less per 100 kilometres than the previous power plant. Maintenance costs are down by 40% too. In the front wheel drive version, the Master consumes as little as 7.1 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres (with 187 g/km di CO2), meriting the role of market leader in fuel economy. The cab interior is also worth mentioning: customers can even choose between three different dashboard fabric finishes: dark grey, dark blue with orange inserts and a particularly hard-wearing leatherette. The cab is 57 mm longer than on the previous model and boasts a document holder and a rotating support for a laptop incorporated the backrest of the central seat. The spacious cargo compartment of the fourth series Master is ideal for installing Syncro System van racking. As you can see from the photos on this page, Syncro shelves, drawers and other racking elements allow you to convert your Master into a well-equipped mobile workshop with everything you need to work efficiently and productively on construction sites, at the roadside or at your customers’ premises.

A RACKING SOLUTION WITH SHELVES AND DRAWERS FOR THE MASTER

Work on the Master seen in these photos began with the installation of a floor liner in 12 mm thick birch plywood with a marble-look resin finish. The same material was used to protect the bulkhead, while the walls and doors were lined with panels made from laser-cut, painted steel sheet. Even the exposed wheel arch is enclosed in a liner of steel sheet and birch plywood. The racking on the left of the van starts with two floor-level compartments. One of these is enclosed by a door while the other is fitted with a cargo lashing strap. Further up is an open shelf, again with a door, 18 removable plastic containers, a pull-out tray with two cases, two drawers on telescopic, ball-bearing runners, one shelf with dividers and a full-length top tray with a door at the rear for carrying particularly long items. The right of the van has been left almost free. Only two cabinets of tilting transparent containers are fitted, at the top of the side wall. This racking solution also features several accessories. On the left we have a fold-away vice bench with a 125 mm rotating steel vice, a paper roll holder and a spray can rack. An aluminium bar with a lashing strap and sliding fittings is fitted to the bulkhead, and a similar bar, this time with movable hooks, to the right side wall. The van also boasts a roof rack with side fences and rear loading roller.

A MOBILE WORKSHOP WITH A COMPRESSOR IN A MASTER

Here’s an example of a Master with racking on both sides. The floor of the cargo compartment is reinforced by a panel of resin-bonded plywood with a marble-look finish, while the walls and doors are lined with galvanised and painted steel panels. The bulkhead too is covered by a plywood liner. The racking, distributed on both sides of the van, consists of shelves, drawers and cabinets of transparent containers, a sealed, stainless-steel tray for transporting liquids safely, a locker and various accessories, including a cable holder, a liquid soap dispenser and a steel rail with strap. A robust work bench with a top covered in stainless steel completes this racking solution. Lighting comes from three powerful LED ceiling lights. A vertical compressor powered from an electrical power panel provides a supply of compressed air.

A RENAULT MASTER WITH RACKING ON BOTH SIDES

This Master is fitted with racking on both sides with a view to distributing load as evenly as possible. The left side racking consists of a series of shelves with a cabinet of tilting transparent containers at the top. The configuration on the right starts with a large floor-level compartment with a door, a pull-out vice bench, a series of drawers and case trays, two large shelves and another cabinet of practical and lightweight, tilting transparent containers. The upfit is complemented by various accessories: a cable holder, a paper roll holder, powerful but compact LED ceiling lights and a steel rail for heavy duty cargo straps.

FLOOR AND BODYWORK LINERS FOR THE MASTER

The Master too needs extra protection for its otherwise insubstantial floor and body panels. The standard liners are not up to the job of protecting the van from damage caused by heavy items sliding around or falling over while the van is being loaded or driven to its destination. To avoid costly repair bills and keep your van’s resale value high, Syncro supplies floor, bulkhead, wall and door liners for the Master.

ROOF BARS, ROOF RACKS AND LADDER RACKS FOR THE MASTER

If your van’s cargo compartment is not big enough and you need to carry long or awkward equipment on the roof, Syncro System can supply a wide range of roof racks and ladder racks for the Renault Master. Syncro roof racks are completely modular in design and can be configured to meet your needs. They are lightweight and indestructible too, thanks to robust, steel and aluminium construction. And thanks to Syncro’s exclusive Ultrasilent profile, your Master’s roof rack will be incredibly silent at all speeds.

LOADING RAMPS FOR THE MASTER

If you need to transport mini tractors, quads, floor scrubbers or similar machines in your Master, the Syncro System catalogue offers an extensive selection of loading ramps with capacities from 200 kg to 1,800 kg. The ramp seen in these photos is a 1,800 kg model that swings aside to provide normal access to the van.
