In the commercial vehicles' European market, the restyled Master from the French automative company Renault is making its mark. The 2010 Master is bigger and better than its older version which already boasted a spacious cargo bay, reliable engine and good quality finishing.
In the pictures on this page, you can see the Syncro's mobile laboratory workshop installed on the Renault Master 2010 L3 H2.
As for most of Syncro System upfits, our first step was to protect the cargo area walls and floor as well as creating a solid base for the racking units. In this upfit, we mounted a 12 mm resin-coated
plywood floor complete with steel borders along the edges corresponding to the van's doors. On the walls and the doors we affixed pre-coated galvanized
steel paneling.
Moving on to the racking system on the left-hand side: we started with two
wheel arch frames complete with front door panels creating ideal space for storing tools and materials.
Above the wheel arch (over the wheel), there is a large open compartment with a 25 mm resin-coated plywood board across the bottom. Towards the bulkhead, there are
drawer units with a total of five steel drawers all mounted on ball-bearing glides, and complete with individual automatic locking mechanisms.
Higher still, we find two more steel drawers (200 mm in height) and a total of five
shelves, each one with rubber mats and aluminum dividers.
At the very top of the left-hand racking unit, we added the Syncro shelf with raised sides and end locking flap – perfect for transporting tubes, pipes and other long objects.
Looking at the right-hand side: over the wheel arch we installed another closed wheel arch frame. On this base, we placed a drawer unit with three large steel drawers, then a shelving unit with two shelves, each one with aluminum dividers and rubber mats, another drawer unit with 12 small plastic drawers with automatic locking mechanisms and rubber mats, allowing for separate storage of up to 24 small parts and fittings.
Next to the base frame we placed a
two-door locker (with two internal shelves), two steel drawers and a 25 mm wooden
work top, a
LED lighting fixture and another shelf. At the top of the right-hand side racking unit, there is a second Syncro shelf with raised sides for storing and transporting long objects.
To create their perfect mobile workshop, the owners of this Renault Master chose lots of handy accessories from the Syncro System catalog.
On the left hand side we mounted a fire extinguisher bracket, first aid kit, and varying lengths of aluminum
tracks with straps and clasps allowing up to 4,OOO kilos of secured cargo. Another track was mounted to the bulkhead.
On the righthand side, we added a a folding
workbench with mounted vise, complete with steel stand and 125 mm steel vise with pipe jaws and swivel base. Above that we placed a
paper towel roll holder.
To light up the whole upfit, we placed two bright 15 Watt ceiling lights for vans. A third, 10 Watt, LED light was positioned over the work place on the right-hand side.
To guarantee adequate ventilation of the cargo area, this upfit also includes a motorized
fan vent.
To also transport cargo on the roof of the van, we mounted a
steel and aluminum utility rack complete with stainless steel pipe carrier, and right-side side rail.
Finally we added an electric panel complete with sockets, allowing electrical equipment to be plugged in.
