Custom liners for the Custom: the flexibility of Syncro products

This Ford Custom L1 H1 has been fitted with liners to protect every exposed surface. The floor is covered by a plywood floor liner with a marble-look finish. The same material covers the bulkhead. The doors are lined in honeycomb plastic panels. The floor is doubly protected by the addition of steel edge profiles to defend the plywood against wear and water ingress. Steel cups have been fitted around the original anchor rings for the same purpose, allowing easy access to them while preserving the floor liner for years to come.
Exploit the full height of your van with custom racking
Even in a small van like this Custom, which is only an H1 in height, you can still make the most of all available space and provide enough storage to keep everything neat and secure. How? By using the full height of the walls, from floor to roof, and by choosing the most efficient combination of racking elements.
On the left wall of this plumber’s Custom we have:
- two floor-level compartments, partly enclosed by lift-and-rotate doors
- four double case trays providing a total of eight metal cases, including one large professional tool case made from aluminium and ABS, complete with key lock, steel hinges and a robust chrome-plated handle
- at the top, two configurable shelves with non-slip mats, internal dividers and a raised back panel
A customised racking solution on the right of the plumber’s Custom
The solution adopted on the right of the Custom satisfies many of the needs typical of plumbers. For a start, the floor-level compartment is partly enclosed by a door that folds down to provide full access, turning the awkward space over the wheel arch into practical storage for all sort of materials.
The top of the compartment created in this way is formed by a shelf in marble-look plywood. Combined with the Syncroblock bar and lashing straps attached to the wall, this provides effective support for large items of equipment. At the top is a Multibox cabinet of pull-out transparent containers. The small space left near the sliding side door is usefully occupied by a configurable shelf.
